POSITION SUMMARY
GEDSI Investment Manager drives the effective implementation of inclusive policies and business practices, fostering economic development and resilience in Cambodia.
This role closely collaborates with CAPRED technical teams and partners in government, private sector and civil society. They support and strengthen the integration of inclusive policies and practices into CAPRED’s work, with a focus on the private and public sector. The GEDSI Investment Manager will engage and maximise the use of CAPRED’s Gender Strategy and support activities related to inclusive business practices. Working closely with all CAPRED’s members, they will be essential leading and delivering a hands-on approach of the business case for inclusive policies, business practices and approaches.
RESPONSIBILITES
Practical implementation: GEDSI targeted work
- Design and lead practical implementation of CAPRED’s work on the care economy, inclusive employment, or entrepreneurship.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and research related to CAPRED GEDSI interventions.
- Support communications and advocacy related to CAPRED’s interventions and closely collaborate with the public sector on GEDSI practices and principles.
Practical implementation: GEDSI integration
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach in driving inclusive business practices within CAPRED’s technical sectors and/or related sectors by leading and promoting a cutting-edge inclusion thinking across CAPRED and its partners.
- Provide practical guidance to CAPRED team and its partners on inclusive policy reforms and business practices, particularly in care economy.
- Support CAPRED technical staff to assess GEDSI needs, risks and opportunities and support the design and implementation of GEDSI action plans; and support the development and implementation of CAPRED’s intersectional GEDSI approach.
- In collaboration with CAPRED technical staff, support capacity development for private sector companies to implement inclusive policies by raising their awareness and developing an evidence-based business case for inclusive policies and business practices.
- Contribute to implementation and periodic review of CAPRED’s GEDSI Strategy.
Teamwork and stakeholder relationships
- Provide team support, share knowledge, and coordinate with team members to ensure quality and consistency across outputs.
- Collectively with the GEDSI Unit, maintain and build constructive relationships within the Facility team and partners, including developing and implementing agreed approaches to address resistance and backlash.
- Commission, supervise and support consultants to perform research and advisory support to interventions.
- Maintain and build productive external networks and coalitions for learning, sharing and advocacy on GEDSI.
Compliance
- Ensure stakeholders operate within Cowater and DFAT-related codes of conduct and policies including all inclusion-related policies such as Child Protection and PSEAH; antifraud and corruption; value for money and other policies.
- Commitment to championing environmental sustainability and climate action across the Facility.
