Duties and responsibilities:
- Contribute to organizational business and budget planning process
- Contribute to the management, operation and performance of the business, to ensure it meets its targets and support the delivery of organizational and strategic goals.
- Manage the daily activities in the project management and project team.
- Manage project team and provides performance feedback and goal-setting; conducts annual performance assessments and skills development and training
- Manage the administration for project submissions and approvals through the agreed prioritization and approval process, maintaining a pipeline of approved projects
- Ensure a clear and consistent approach is in place to manage risk with alignment to Finance and Company’s risk management.
- Collate qualitative and quantitative information on project performance for the preparation and production of project reports for internal management purposes
- Ensure that information recorded in both electronic and hardcopy meets with internal and external audit standards.
Project Delivery:
- Develop and manage multiple projects, starting from the Pre-Development Phase through Commercial Operation
- Lead and execute activities from conceptual and preliminary design to project completion and handover to operations.
- Support new business opportunities in all phases (due diligence, feasibility study, financing, budgeting, etc.) (as required)
- Act as a local focal point by managing local consultants, contractors and suppliers, as well as coordinate/attend project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage major supply and construction contracts, from the tender preparation to the agreement completion, along with the project phases (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning).
- Monitor and assess Project Budgets (CAPEX).
- Involved in both commercial and technical work delivery resolution
- Report daily/weekly on the status of projects, and regularly report on Issues and Risks
- Support the Engineering and Construction Department along with all the project phases (scope of work review, drawing review, QA&QC, etc.).
- Ensure project quality and effective implementation of HSE policy
- Establish, maintain and lead the on-site quality management process
- Visit project sites on a frequent basis.
- Responsible for establishing and running the project with the objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a best-practice project delivery approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
- Ensure detailed project, implementation or action plans are created for the duration of each project as appropriate
- Devise, product and implement new systems and processes to optimize more effective project management as required and within the framework of the organizations
- Ensure project have requirements documented and agreed to ensure that project activity meet agreed project objectives.
- To ensure project resources have the correct toolsets and processes in place and that all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver successfully.
- Prepare reports and technical documents to present solar design/ feasibility finding
- Evaluate the economic, engineering, or pragmatic feasibility of solar installation projects based on architectural plans on existing or new construction buildings
- Mark up building electrical diagrams to include solar system wiring and interconnections details and develop 3-Line diagrams.
- Assist the tender in estimating and selling solar systems.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and/or tender meetings
- Design, review and approve electrical drawings from draughtman
- Develop and maintain outside engineering relationships with external companies used for engineering services.
- Develop and implement strategies as per the planned schedule in order to align project direction with the strategy, goals and commitments.
- To perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
