We are seeking a highly motivated Project Development Manager to oversee the development and execution of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, energy storage, etc.) in the Philippines. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of project development from initial concept through to project execution, including feasibility studies, regulatory approvals, design, financing, procurement, and construction. This role requires a strong understanding of renewable energy markets, project management, and cross-functional team leadership to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Feasibility and Planning:
- Lead the development of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage systems.
- Conduct market assessments, feasibility studies, and site evaluations to identify suitable locations for project development.
- Prepare financial models, cost estimates, and risk assessments to determine project viability and optimize the overall strategy.
Regulatory and Compliance Management:
- Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, permitting requirements, and environmental standards in the Philippines.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, local governments, and utilities to secure necessary approvals and grid connections.
- Stay updated on policy changes, incentives, and regulatory frameworks for renewable energy projects.
Project Design and Engineering:
- Oversee the engineering design and system integration for renewable energy projects, including solar power plants and storage solutions.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, external contractors, and consultants to ensure technical requirements and best practices are followed.
- Manage the selection of vendors and suppliers for equipment, technology, and services.
Project Execution and Management:
- Lead the project execution phase, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of renewable energy projects.
- Manage the budget, schedule, and resources for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, project managers, and support staff to achieve project milestones.
- Foster collaboration and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government entities, utilities, and community representatives.
- Financial Management and Reporting:
- Oversee the financial performance of projects, including capital and operational expenditures, ensuring cost-effective development.
- Report on project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budget status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate project risks (e.g., technical, financial, environmental, regulatory).
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
