About the opportunity:

Eco-Mantra is a leading Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Consultancy based in Bali. It specializes in developing, developing, and managing sustainable properties in Indonesia. We are looking for a Mechanical Consultant/Engineer (mid-level) to join our growing team and increase our capacity for local and international projects.

Key responsibilities:

Assisted in ongoing projects and provided input to improve existing MEP & ESD designs.
Support Senior MEP Engineer in consulting, calculating, sizing, or drafting the required MEP design work in CAD.
Coordinate with the project design team, including clients, architects, landscape, civil, contractors, etc in implementing the ESD & MEP designs in projects.
Consult, check, and correct MEP drawings produced, and distribute the drawings to the related parties.
Conduct research and develop MEP-related solutions for ESD.
Conduct market and price research for MEP BOQ items, including material specification and unit price analysis.
Coordinate with contractors on-site during construction – delivering construction monitoring services and finding appropriate solutions for problems that arise.

Candidate Requirement:

Min 3 years in the mechanical engineering design consultancy for buildings. Extensive experience in hospitality building will be advantageous.
Have a keen interest and enthusiasm for sustainability in the built environment design.
Preferably a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related disciplines.
Holding Surat Keterangan Kompetensi (SKK) or Surat Keterangan Ahli (SKA) as a mechanical engineer, either Muda or Madya, will be very advantageous.
Have extensive knowledge in designing HVAC and Plumbing systems based on established standards such as SNI, ASHRAE, SMACNA, or CIBSE. Additional knowledge in firefighting and electrical aspects will be a plus.
Experience in designing chillers and operating building simulation software (EnergyPlus/Openstudio/HAP E-20) will be advantageous.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD in producing, checking, and correcting MEP drawings. Skills in BIM or any 3D MEP modeling software will be advantageous.
Works with the capability to give critical and practical input during the designing and construction process.
Can communicate in English (written and verbally).
Possess a strong analytical and systems thinking foundation and be able to think critically and solve practical problems.
Teamwork and communication skills are essential to succeed in any Eco-Mantra role.
