Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategic Planning:

● Develop and refine a clear long-term strategic direction for Enrich in alignment with its mission and vision, in partnership with the operations team and Board.

● Provide visionary leadership, articulating and sharing organizational strategy internally and externally.

● Set clear, strategic goals for the organization that have buy-in and motivate teams to action, and regularly track progress made against these.

● Lead with integrity, aligned with Enrich’s key values.

● Lead on crisis management where necessary, navigating crises and risk adeptly, and making sound decisions in the face of uncertainty.

● Protect Enrich’s brand and reputation and take necessary steps to anticipate, manage and mitigate risks.

● Foster strategic partnerships and meaningful collaboration, both internally and externally.

● Develop, execute and monitor the annual plan aligned with the strategic plan to ensure continued reach and impact of Enrich.

● Provide leadership and guidance to a qualified and diverse team, inspiring and motivating them.

● Hiring, directly managing and overseeing the ongoing performance of at least four senior team members in the key functions of programmes, fundraising, finance and governance, supporting them to set ambitious yet realistic goals and conducting annual performance reviews.

Relationship Management:

● Be the chief spokesperson and advocate for the organization, building the profile and reputation of the organization.

● Represent Enrich and build relationships with key stakeholders, including funders and corporate partners, NGO partners, the media, senior government officials, and other relevant community networks.

● Visibly champion Enrich’s work and the migrant domestic worker community, and ensure the voice of our migrant domestic worker participants are represented as much as possible.

● Strengthen our position as a thought leader in the space through campaigns and initiatives which advance our mission.

● Regularly engage in high level public speaking engagements, conferences and networking events to raise awareness of Enrich and our impact with a variety of audiences.

● Actively engage with the migrant domestic worker community to understand their needs and maintain strong community connections.

● Develop high-level relationships of influence that lead to impactful results for the organization.

Fundraising and Financial Management:

● Working with the Fundraising and Development Manager, lead fundraising efforts and strategy and engage with donors and stakeholders to secure financial support for Enrich.

● Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations and identify other potential sources of income to ensure Enrich reaches its goals and sustains operations.

● Support with Enrich’s donor pipeline, including preparing and supervising grant applications and proposals and donor relationship management.

● Ensure diversification and expansion of income, both with restricted and unrestricted funding, including delivering annual fundraising campaigns, events, and/or income generation.

● Build the fundraising capacity of all Enrich representatives and larger community to contribute towards fundraising.

● Oversee all aspects of financial management, including preparing and managing the annual budget, monitoring financial performance, providing regular reporting of cashflow and other relevant financial metrics, overseeing the annual audit process, monitoring of any financial risks and ensure sound financial practices.

● Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and maintain transparency and accountability with all key partners.

Organisational Efficiency and Agility

● Along with Director of Operations, oversee efficiency of operations, ensuring effective systems, processes, policies and controls and continue to best practice and benchmark with other organisations in the social impact space, across all key functions, to ensure the organization is achieving goals, continuously improving and automating where appropriate.

● Elevate and optimize quality of delivery of wider initiatives to break new grounds for the organization.

● Architect and caretaker of organizational culture, ensuring the collaborative and inclusive culture which empowers the growth of each staff member at Enrich continues, and continually seek ways to strengthen our culture through employee engagement initiatives and to retain staff.

● Lead on digital transformation at the organization, and be data driven across different functions of the organisation, role modelling this use of data as much as possible.

● Demonstrate a growth mindset, generating new opportunities to advance Enrich’s mission and visibility, whilst ensuring financial sustainability.

● Drive effective performance management for the organization, leading and ensuring a successful annual performance review process and providing additional development support to team members on a continual basis

● Lead on talent development and seek additional resources to ensure skills growth and talent to meet current and future strategic needs for Enrich

● Handle other personnel matters, including disciplinary, as required.

Governance and Board Relations:

● Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and board development.

● Support board meetings, provide regular organizational reports, trends and updates, and collaborate on strategic decision-making.

● Facilitate board recruitment, orientation, and ongoing board development activities, and support committee work (currently programmes and fundraising committees).

● Communicate regularly and openly with Board, to ensure strong partnership between Board and staff.

● Supporting on other Board initiatives where appropriate.

Programmes

● Work with the Director of Programmes and oversee the development, implementation, quality and evaluation of programmes and services that align with the organization's mission and strategy.

● Ensure program effectiveness, supporting programmes team to digitalize, automate and streamline processes, whilst encouraging and seeking resources for innovative solutions to be developed.

● Working with programmes team, identify emerging needs and trends in the community and ensure organization is developing new programs or modify existing ones to continually be responsive to community needs.

● Ensure migrant domestic worker needs and feedback incorporated into programmes and curriculum.

Essential

● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred).

● Minimum of 10 years of relevant leadership experience, particularly progressively management experience, with track record of success in the private, public or NGO sectors and proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.

● Experience in developing and operationalizing strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth.

● Experience in organizational management, setting and delivering strategic goals and managing a budget, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills to represent the organization and influence effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders.

● Strong experience and understanding of fundraising, including grant writing.

● Team player; able to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals.

● Mission-driven and passionate about the empowerment of migrant domestic workers.

● Growth mindset with the ability to spot new opportunities, problem solve and seek solutions.

● Results orientated and possessing strong analytical abilities.

● Experience with leading and managing through change to ensure organizational agility.

Desirable

● Experience in the NGO sector, especially in a non-subvented organisation which has undergone growth

● A second language desirable (preference for a second Asian language)

● Experience with digital transformation

● Experience in media relations and public speaking

Profile

Enrich is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Executive Director as we enter an exciting stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the Board, the Executive Director is responsible for raising the overall profile of Enrich, ensuring that the organization continues to be the leading Hong Kong charity promoting the economic empowerment of migrant domestic workers. He/She is also responsible for the overall success of Enrich, including full leadership, management, and strategic direction of the organization.

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day aspects of all of Enrich’s operations, including fundraising, financial management, staff management, program development, communication and year-round stakeholder management.

The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization's mission is effectively carried out and its goals and objectives are achieved.
