The Project Officer supports the team in the full lifecycle of projects, from initiation to completion. This includes monitoring progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that all project activities align with established timelines and objectives. The Project Officer is also responsible for data collection, research, and administrative support.
What you will do:
Project Management Support:
- Assist the Project Manager in managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met according to schedule.
- Track project progress, update project documentation, and maintain detailed records of activities and milestones.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Follow and implement project plans, monitoring key deliverables, and providing regular updates on progress.
- Monitor and register certificates of traceability in the system, ensuring an accurate track-and-trace mechanism throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key project stakeholders, including donors, partners, clients, community organizations, government officials, and corporate representatives.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation and alignment with objectives.
Research and Data Collection:
- Conduct primary and secondary research, including desk research, stakeholder interviews, and surveys.
- Work closely with government officials for document submission, project support, and other related tasks.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data to draft written reports for management review.
Administrative Support:
- Perform administrative tasks such as translating documents, updating databases, preparing reports, and handling sourcing and procurement as needed.
- Ensure all project-related documentation is well-organized and accessible.
