As the stakeholder engagement lead Asia, you will be working on developing and managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders of brands and (potential) donors in the region and the production countries Fair Wear is active in. The aim is to advocate for a strong role of production country stakeholders in HRDD implementation. We are looking for an experienced candidate with a strong track record in cultivating relationships with stakeholders and donors, developing strategic collaborations and securing funding opportunities. An existing network related to responsible business conduct is preferred.

The stakeholder engagement lead divides their time between the following activities and responsibilities:

  • Continue to develop Fair Wear’s stakeholder engagement strategy in production countries complementing the work of Fair Wear’s country managers
  • Oversee, build and cultivate Fair Wear’s partnerships with key stakeholders in the region and develop strategic collaborationsStakeholder engagement and partnership lead Asia
  • Identify potential funding opportunities including through engagement with the Dutch embassies and EU Delegations
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with (potential) donors
  • Develop outreach material and proposals matching Fair Wear’s strategic objectives with donor priorities (supported by external proposal writer)
  • Represent Fair Wear at events in the region
  • Contribute to positioning of the organisation as HRDD facilitator
  • Support country managers in ensuring organisational and financial sustainability in respective countries
Profile

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

  • 10+ years of work experience, at least 5 in the context of stakeholder engagement, partnership and donor relationship management and/or fundraising for a non-profit organisation
  • Existing network related to responsible business conduct is preferred
  • Excellent networking and representation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English, other languages preferred)
  • Ability to connect organisational strategic objectives to opportunities
  • Enjoys working in a multicultural team and is culturally sensitive
  • Affinity with Fair Wear’s vision and mission
