About the role:
As an engineering professional and under the direct supervision of an Engineering Manager, the Engineer is responsible for providing specialized to moderately complex engineering and technical services to internal and external customers within First Gen and its subsidiaries to support their current and future requirements and in order to uphold global standards and good utility practice.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collect, prepare, process, analyze and present geographic data for decision making or resolving issues that affects or may affect wind and solar projects.
- Identify sources of information that may be used in preparing maps for permits application, feasibility study and acquisition of right-of-way for wind and solar projects.
- Conduct field research from various government agencies/offices.
- Prepare maps for land acquisition activities, studies and permit applications.
- Manages and safe keeps a database of geographic information.
- Identify viable sites for solar and wind project development.
- Assist in sourcing mapping expertise and technologies and recommend contracting and deployment of such experts for wind and solar projects.
- Assist in managing surveying contracts and coordinate with contractors.
- Participates in resolving mapping issues and concerns.
- Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
