The Business Development (BD) executive will play a crucial role to drive, manage and execute the successful scaling of electric vehicles (EV) chargepoint (CP) deployment in Thailand under GGMCT’s charge point operations business.

The successful candidate must not only be experienced in supporting pipeline growth, but also a well-rounded individual who can help grow GGMCT’s brand & presence in Thailand via long-lasting partnerships. This position requires a deep understanding of the Thailand transportation & logistics market, good financial acumen and communications skills to drive initiatives forward.

Responsibilities

Strategy Planning & Market Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key opportunities, trends, and competitors in the Thailand green mobility sector;
  • Develop comprehensive market scaling strategies including product & price positioning via-a-vis competitors, customer demand and OEM supply landscape.
  • Constantly monitor and update market advancements with management & adapt strategies accordingly;
  • Identify root causes for fluctuations in EV charging station utilization;

Business Development And Deployment

  • Assess deal rationale by conducting internal rate of return (IRR) assessments and risk evaluation;
  • Present to GGMCT investment committee and management team to obtain deployment approvals and support Head of Venture for preparation of customer proposals;
  • Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements with customers and/or partners, ensuring mutually beneficial key terms are met and are in-line with interests of the Company;
  • Build and nurture relationships with key institutional stakeholders (e.g. government & regulatory agencies, CPO, EVAT and/or other industry associations, and ministries in related infrastructure and transportation;

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Stay updated with relevant Thailand regulations, policies, and incentives related to green mobility and sustainable transportation;
  • Engage with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Advocate for supportive policies and initiatives that facilitate the growth of the green mobility sector;

Growing Brand Presence In Thailand

  • Collaborate with COE marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, advertising initiatives, and public relations activities (i.e. local marketing materials, content & digital strategies) to enhance brand visibility and awareness;
  • Occasionally represent GGMCT at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand whilst building networks with potential customers and partners, Regulatory Compliance and Government Relations;

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively communicate go-to market strategies, pipeline growth, risks and project updates to management;
  • Develop and effectively communicate with the Board on issues such as sales goal setting & new products and initiatives to support pipeline growth;
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the board/shareholders on the performance/ corrective actions of the EV charging Point business.
Profile

Requirements

  • Proven 5 years’ experience in business development, market entry, or launch operations, experience in transportation and/or clean energy sector are added advantages;
  • Strong understanding of the Thailand EV ChargePoint and fleet market dynamics, consumer behavior, and regulatory landscape;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in ChargePoint market, including government/regulatory officials, industry leaders, and potential customers;
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with a data-driven mindset to monitor performance and make informed business decisions;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English and Thai language, both written and verbal.
