The HR Specialist is responsible for managing key HR functions, including facilitating onboarding and offboarding processes, conducting new hire orientations, and assisting with benefits administration. They monitor employee leave, respond to benefits-related inquiries, and support the performance management process by guiding managers through evaluations and performance improvement plans. Additionally, the HR Specialist ensures compliance with company policies by drafting notices, maintaining accurate employee records, preparing HR reports, and providing administrative support for various HR initiatives and special projects.
A. Onboarding and Offboarding Orientation:
1. Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring completion of necessary documents and training, and coordination with relevant departments for benefits enrollment
2. Conduct new hire orientation on company policies, culture and procedures.
3. Facilitate offboarding process for resigning employees.
B. Benefits Administration and Payroll
1. Leaves tracking/monitoring and administration
2. Provide information and assistance to employees regarding benefits options, qualifications, availment, enrollment
3. Gather, check and validate computations of and qualification to incentives, bonuses, commissions and other monetary benefits
4. Monitor employee qualification and disqualification to monetary subsidies / support, insurance and other related benefits, and handle enrollment and documentation
5. Check and validate timekeeping reports
C. Compliance and Recordkeeping
1. Draft notices and memos related to company regulations, policies, discipline, HR announcements
2. Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
3. Monitor compliance, prepare memos and reports as required – overtime limits, tardiness, shortened work hours, etc.
4. Prepare reports on HR metrics to track performance and identify trends.
5.Prepare employee-related certifications
D. Administrative Support
1. Perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to preparing correspondence, maintaining files, scheduling meetings
2. Assist with timekeeping processing and benefits administration as needed
3. Support the HR team in special projects and initiatives
