Duties and Responsibilities

The role will report to the Green Economy Program Manager and will include, but not be limited to, the following duties:

Analyzing trends and policies of Just Transition and sustainable finance in Indonesia and globally regularly and using this analysis to strengthen Just Energy Transition and its financing program within the institution.
Undertake project activities, including managing events, composing event reports, and developing project concepts, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
Propose and plan strategic measures/activities to achieve the organization's outcomes in the just transition and sustainable finance sector, including responding to recent developments.
Design and conduct necessary research in just transition and sustainable financing as required.
Strategic engagement with government agencies, financial institutions, businesses, research organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to achieve the project's and organization's outcomes.
Coordinate with relevant IESR program/project to execute work to complete project milestones efficiently.
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the activities plan and resulting outcomes, prepare regular reports to Program Manager, and execute countermeasures as needed.
Develop relevant key policy messages and their means of delivery, and coordinate with the communications team for the outreach activities.

Qualifications, competencies, and experience

Bachelor's degree or above in finance economics, public policy, management, environmental engineering, or other relevant majors. Having an advanced degree (master's or PhD) is preferable.
Has a minimum of 3 years' work experience in relevant fields.
Experience working and coordinating with governmental agencies and non-state actors (e.g., CSOs, universities, think tanks, or private sectors).
Excellent public policy analytical skills.
Excellent understanding of finance and public finance.
Possess critical thinking, good research skills, and innovative problem-solving.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to effectively work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English verbally and in writing.
Ability to work in an intercultural environment and under pressure. 10) Willingness to travel domestically and abroad when required.
Excellent time-management skills.
Excellence in using MS Office software and statistical analysis tools
