Kita is a youth development nonprofit using person-centric and participatory practices to return agency to youths and their communities. We support youths from under-resourced backgrounds through community gatherings, personal exploration opportunities, and structured career programmes that prepare them for meaningful employment. As we continue building on our six years of impact, we're strengthening our team of 10-15 to deepen our work across three interconnected programme modalities.
We're looking for an Associate, Programmes who will support the delivery of our Labs and Studios programmes while contributing to our broader community initiatives. You'll work alongside programme leads and cross-functional team members to create meaningful experiences for youths, handling both direct youth engagement and operational coordination. This role offers the rewarding opportunity to journey closely with youths as they explore possibilities and pursue career pathways, with clear potential to take on greater initiative and leadership as you grow with us.
Support Labs programme delivery and youth engagement
• Journey closely with youths participating in Domain Labs (industry exploration) and Personal Labs (personal experimentation and development projects)
• Facilitate hands-on workshop sessions and support youths through their experimentation and reflection processes
• Coordinate logistics for Labs activities including materials, venues, and external facilitators or mentors
• Support youths in identifying, planning, and completing meaningful personal experimentation activities
• Document programme activities and youth progress to inform continuous improvement
Support Studios programme operations and learner experience
• Assist in managing referrals, intake processes, and learner communications for Digital Marketing Studios
• Provide administrative and logistical support for training sessions, including coordination with industry trainers
• Support relationship-building with social sector partners for referrals and wraparound services
• Assist in tracking learner progress, outcomes data, and job placement follow-up
• Help prepare programme materials and maintain organised documentation systems
Contribute to community-building and cross-programme integration
• Support Kita Space gatherings and community activities as needed
• Facilitate connections between participants across different programme modalities
• Assist in creating seamless transitions and integrated support for youths navigating multiple programmes
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance youth experience and programme effectiveness
Operational and administrative support
• Manage programme scheduling, communications, and participant outreach
• Coordinate with volunteers, trainers, and external partners
• Prepare resources and materials for programme delivery
• Support reporting and documentation requirements
• Handle event logistics and setup for various programme activities
We are looking for• Early career professionals with between 2-4 years of experience in youth work, social services, programme coordination, or related fields. Fresh graduates with relevant and outstanding portfolio may apply.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with youths, partners, and team members
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across different workstreams
• Comfortable with both structured responsibilities and flexibility as programmes evolve
• Genuine passion for youth development and commitment to our mission
