Role summary
We’re looking for a hands-on Content Creator to capture the real stories of Lanta Animal Welfare: the animals, the people, the daily work, and the impact. You will film, photograph, and edit your work end-to-end, delivering finished content ready for our social channels, website, and email.
Content must be emotionally compelling, accurate, and respectful. No sensationalism, no staged distress, and no interference with care routines.
What you’ll do
Content capture and storytelling
- Film and photograph daily life at LAW: rescues, rehabilitation, clinic work, enrichment, adoptions, volunteers, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Spot strong story moments and turn them into short, clear narratives for social, email, and web.
- Create sponsor update content (video and photos) for sponsored animals in a consistent, recognizable format.
Editing and delivery
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts (strong hooks, pacing, subtitles, and clear calls to action).
- Handle basic sound cleanup, subtitles, and simple color correction as needed.
- Export platform-ready files (vertical, square, and occasional landscape).
- Deliver weekly batches of finished content and maintain an organized library of raw footage for future use.
- Build simple templates for recurring formats (adoption spotlights, sponsor updates, behind-the-scenes, campaign asks).
Photography
- Produce high-quality adoption profile photos (sharp, well-lit, clear framing that shows personality).
- Deliver additional photo sets for sponsorship, campaigns, website updates, and social.
- Select, edit, label, and deliver final photo sets so the team can use them quickly.
Design support (simple)
- Create basic on-brand assets when needed (story frames, carousels, thumbnails, covers, simple infographics).
- Use Canva for fast work and Adobe tools when needed.
Asset management and teamwork
- Upload and organize content in Dropbox with clear naming, dates, and tags.
- Keep the task sheet updated and manage your workload to hit deadlines.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing & Fundraising Manager and animal care team to plan shoots around real priorities.
- Attend weekly content check-ins and contribute ideas you can realistically deliver.
