Role Overview
The Junior Business Analyst (Sustainability) will support our expanding team by analyzing and helping to debottleneck business models in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green industry in Indonesia. The role will combine business and market analysis, policy research, stakeholder engagement, capacity-building support, and advisory assistance to help translate sustainable business opportunities into practical, investable, and scalable solutions.
The role will also support the incubation of selected businesses and projects by contributing to business transformation planning, capacity-building activities, coaching preparation, and advisory support for enterprises, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), project owners, and other market actors participating in Lestari Advisors’ incubation and investment facilitation programs.
Responsibilities
Business and Market Analysis
- Conduct rigorous research on business models, market structures, policies, and financing mechanisms relevant to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green industry.
- Analyze commercial, financial, regulatory, and institutional barriers affecting the development and scaling of sustainable business models in Indonesia.
- Assist the Team Leaders in producing detailed reports, business and market assessments, policy briefs, and other analytical documents.
- Support the development of recommendations to improve business viability, financing readiness, and market positioning.
Business Transformation, Capacity Building, and Incubation Support
- Support advisory and incubation activities for selected businesses, ESCOs, project owners, and green industry actors.
- Assist in assessing business challenges, including revenue models, cost structures, financing needs, partnership strategies, and project pipelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of business transformation roadmaps, coaching materials, action plans, business cases, and investment-readiness documents.
- Support the delivery of training, workshops, and business coaching sessions, including documentation of key discussion points and follow-up actions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with both internal team members and external partners.
- Participate in clients, businesses, financial institutions, government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders meetings and contribute to discussions on business models, market development, policy, and financing strategies.
- Assist in facilitating matchmaking between project owners, ESCOs, technology providers, and potential financiers.
