Program Overview:
The Natpak Sustainable Design Program will consist of a one-month design challenge designed to simulate real-world product development within an ODM environment.
Participants will gain insight into:
• How packaging products are designed and developed
• The challenges of balancing sustainability, cost, and manufacturing
• The process of working with brands to create commercially viable products
Program Structure:
Stage 1 - Introduction to Sustainable Product Development
During the first phase, participants will be introduced to how Natpak approaches design and sustainability.
This includes demonstrations and case studies covering topics such as:
• Identifying core sustainability challenges in packaging
• Designing products for recyclability and material recovery
• Reducing material usage while maintaining structural integrity
• Case examples such as recyclable packaging structures and eco-focused packaging concepts
Participants will also gain insight into how Natpak operates as an ODM partner, working with brands to design products that are both innovative and manufacturable at scale.
Stage 2 - Design Challenge
Participants will then work on a design challenge focused on sustainable product concepts.
Example challenge categories may include:
Designs should demonstrate creativity while considering manufacturing feasibility and sustainability impact.
This is a voluntary design challenge and not an employment position. No work submitted will be used commercially.
