Role Description
The Chief of Party (CoP) for the USDA McGovern-Dole program in Cambodia will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and management for a complex, multi-year food security and education project. This full-time, on-site role is based in Phenom Phen Cambodia, with regular coordination with field teams and stakeholders in Washington DC. The CoP will oversee program planning and implementation, including activity design, work planning, budgeting, and monitoring progress toward targets. Daily responsibilities include supervising senior project staff, ensuring compliance with USDA and PfD policies, and maintaining high standards of technical quality and operational efficiency. The CoP will lead coordination with government counterparts, local partners, schools, and community organizations, and will represent the project in meetings with donors and other stakeholders. The role also involves overseeing reporting, learning, and adaptation processes, including preparing technical reports, documenting results, and incorporating lessons learned into program adjustments.
