The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) is a global, industry‑led initiative that equips financial institutions with standardized methodologies to measure and disclose financed, facilitated, and insurance-associated emissions. As PCAF expands its presence across Asia‑Pacific, we are seeking a highly capable and strategically minded professional to strengthen our regional technical support function.

Role Overview

The Regional Technical Support Coordinator will play a pivotal role in advancing PCAF’s mission in Greater China and APAC by providing high‑quality technical guidance, shaping regional insights, and ensuring alignment between local market needs and global methodological developments. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑evolving sustainable finance landscape.

We are seeking an Associate or Manager‑level Technical Support Specialist with strong Mandarin Chinese language capabilities to support financial institutions across Asia-Pacific in implementing the PCAF Standard. This role combines technical assistance, member support, and cross‑team coordination. The ideal candidate has experience in sustainable finance, climate reporting, PCAF GHG accounting, or financial sector data analysis, and is comfortable engaging with stakeholders across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and the broader APAC region. This is a 12‑month contract role, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Guidance & Membership Support

· Provide day‑to‑day technical support to financial institutions implementing the PCAF Standard.

· Respond to member queries (English and Chinese) on methodology, data quality scoring, sector‑specific guidance, and reporting requirements.

· Support onboarding of new members, including walkthroughs of PCAF methodologies and tools.

2. Research & Capacity Building

· Support development of Chinese‑language materials, FAQs, and technical notes.

· Deliver webinars, workshops, and training sessions in English and Mandarin, support events and regional projects as needed

· Conduct research on regional market practices, emissions data availability, and regulatory developments (e.g., HKMA, PBOC).

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Internal Coordination

· Liaise with financial institutions, industry associations, regulators, and partners across Greater China and APAC.

· Support regional working groups and technical discussions.

· Work closely with global technical teams to ensure alignment on guidance and member support.

· Provide feedback from APAC markets to inform global developments and updates

Profile

Minimum Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

· 2-4 years of relevant experience, with a specific focus on financial services and sustainability.

· Familiarity of sustainability practices, including climate risk, carbon emissions accounting (Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the PCAF Standard)

· Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken); Cantonese is a plus.

· Strong analytical skills and comfort with technical methodologies.

· Self‑driven, proactive, and comfortable operating independently while coordinating with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working within a financial institution (e.g., a commercial bank), with strong understanding of finance, financial terminology, and internal systems.

· Experience working in an international or cross‑cultural environment, with the ability to navigate language nuances, stakeholder expectations, and relationship‑building across regions.

· Experience delivering training or technical presentations to varied audiences, and experience supporting or managing events where needed
