The PeopleStories Program Manager will develop and implement activities for our core program of work - School for Life Scholarship. This impactful role is hands on and will be critical to our ability to serve the children in rural Cambodia.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and implement activities of our core program - School for Life Scholarships.
  • Lead a small local team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain close working partnerships with our global team as well as local partner schools and Department of Education.
  • Foster a community based change approach. Outreach to the local communities to gain greater support for education.
  • Facilitate life skills workshop with students at secondary and high school age. Coach them for greater success in life.
  • Manage our student records, produce regular analysis and reports.
Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need to be self-motivated and more importantly want to make a difference to the lives of children in Cambodia through education.

Here are the critical skills required:

  • Eager to learn, flexible, creative, open-minded and a problem solver. Track record in self-development.
  • Sound knowledge in developing and implementing educational projects. Having sound Project Management experience is certainly an advantage.
  • Strong focus on “Learning” rather than “Teaching”. Ability to coach for greater learning outcomes.
  • Ability to lead a small team and work with team members remotely as well as local partners across all levels.
  • Working autonomously but also as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English as well as Khmer with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedicated to the not-for-profit sector, and/or education and/or supporting the rural community.
