The Project Communications Specialist will be based at the Positive Youth Development Network office in Iloilo City. Reporting to the Project Development and Implementation Unit (PDIU) Head, the officer will work with the Project Development and Implementation Unit with collaboration points with the Strategic Support Unit to achieve project and unit goals. The Project Communication Specialist will work collaboratively with their unit to achieve the following:
- Lead the creation of the communications strategies to support the project team and its officers for the overall implementation;
- Lead content planning, creation of visuals and postings, and management of social media pages of projects under the unit;
- Take charge of creation of materials and collaterals relevant to the unit and the activities of ongoing projects with a minimum of three materials per week;
- Ensure implementation and monitoring of the communications strategies and support team members to achieve various components of the strategy, regular monitoring of progress, and updates to donors, partners, and other relevant stakeholders;
- Support project activities by drafting talking points, speeches, scripts, spiels, etc. for project activities both in online and offline platforms;
- Work closely with the organization’s Institutional Communications Team under the Strategic Support Unit to ensure quality control of communications products and adherence of all communications materials to the branding of the organization and approved by the donors;
- Ensure that all political and programmatic sensitivities are observed at all communication activities;
- Perform other ad hoc activities and tasks relating to communications and visibility as assigned by the Program Manager or Head of the Project Development and Implementation Unit;
- Performs other relevant and related tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or immediate supervisor.
