Help document stories, local innovations, and the impact of community-led coastal conservation.

Rare Philippines is looking for a Communications Consultant to document stories of change, local innovations, and community-led coastal conservation efforts in Camotes Islands or Southern Leyte.

The role involves conducting field interviews, developing feature stories and case studies, producing short-form videos, and documenting the experiences of fisherfolk, community leaders, local governments, and project partners.

Contract period: November 9 to December 4, 2026.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Conduct field interviews and document community stories.
Develop feature stories and case studies.
Produce short videos and photo documentation.
Capture lessons and innovations from project sites.

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Communication, or a related field.
At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Strong writing, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
Background in conservation, fisheries, environment, or community-based programs.
