➔ Description of the mission

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Primary Responsibilities:

• To adhere to the rules and regulations, procedures, and policies of REACH and donors.

• Initiate, track and recorded transfer funds to partners (support to program and finance team).

• Estimate the project cash requirements for the coming month and submit requests to Finance Team at Thailand.

• Verify and reconcile all receipts and payments of partners on quarterly basis in alignment with Donor Guidelines, REACH Policies, Partners’ Policies and audit requirements.

• Verify and code all receipts and invoices, enter them in accounting software (SUN) and EXCEL according to REACH financial policies and guidelines.

• Ensure that all disbursements and receipts are properly authorized by Manager.

• Ensure that all disbursements are properly documented (PRF, Advance Cash request, receipt, invoices, quotations, goods received note, distribution form, etc.), verify and authorized before payments are made.

• Keep track of all payment of cash advances and ensure that all advances are accounted for within guidelines.

• Prepare disbursement/cash/Cheque/bank transfer payment vouchers.

• Undertake any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

  • B Com, LCCI Level III or University Bachelor’s degree and diploma in accounting.
  • At least 1–3 years of professional experience in a finance environment.
  • Strong judgment, strategic planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Burmese (Understanding of Karen and Thai Languages is a plus)
  • Essential skills in Excel and accounting software are preferred.
  • Competence in using information technology, work-procession spreadsheet and PowerPoint software.
  • Exposure to NGO work is an advantage.
  • Able to think for themselves and make the necessary decision.
  • Able to work independently.
