Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Nusa Dua, Bali for an Accounting Generalist. The role entails managing daily accounting operations, including creating and maintaining journal entries, preparing financial statements, and supporting finance and budgeting activities. The Accounting Generalist will also analyze financial data to provide valuable insights and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders will be a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Record Keeping
- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the Foundation, ensuring strict adherence to internal guidelines and international financial regulations.
- Maintain meticulous financial records by ensuring accurate data entry into accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Classify and code all financial transactions in accordance with applicable tax regulations and foundation financial policies.
- Ensure all financial documentation is comprehensive, transparent, compliant, and audit-ready at all times.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process: process invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Facilitate Accounts Receivable activities: prepare invoices, monitor incoming payments, and resolve outstanding issues promptly.
- Analyze and assess receivables to mitigate potential bad debts and initiate appropriate recovery actions.
3. Tax Compliance & Strategy
- Lead the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and other relevant local taxes.
- Ensure 100% adherence to Indonesian tax regulations and filing deadlines to prevent penalties or interest charges.
- Conduct in-depth research on evolving tax laws to ensure accurate filings and advise on strategies to optimize financial efficiency and minimize liabilities.
4. Payroll & Human Resources Support
- Execute payroll activities, including processing, data reconciliation, and ensuring the accuracy of employee compensation.
- Maintain all payroll records, deductions, and tax filings in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
5. Financial Reporting & Auditing
- Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and statements (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual) for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and propose opportunities for operational enhancement.
- Support internal and external auditing procedures, ensuring adherence to guidelines and implementing recommended process improvements.
6. Operational & Logistical Support
- Ensure the prompt and accurate payment of routine monthly utility bills and facility expenses.
