➔ Description of the mission

Why This Role Matters

Social media is the heartbeat of how we inspire, educate, and connect our community. As Social Media Manager, you will own and shape the Indonesia chapter’s digital presence — turning our events, stories, and mission into content that inspires action and grows engagement.

You will collaborate closely with the Indonesia Chapter Leads, creative volunteers, and the global marketing team to bring our brand to life on social channels, champion diversity in tech, and expand our impact across Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Content Creation

  • Build and execute the chapter’s social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, etc.).
  • Plan, create, and publish engaging, brand-aligned content — posts, reels, stories, event spotlights, and success stories.
  • Tailor global content to resonate with the Indonesia audience and local community.

Community Growth & Engagement

  • Grow and engage the local follower base by fostering authentic conversations.
  • Monitor comments and messages to respond, engage, and build connections with followers.
  • Showcase participant stories, event highlights, and success journeys to celebrate the community.

Campaign & Event Promotion

  • Partner with the event and marketing volunteers to promote upcoming workshops, webinars, and community initiatives.
  • Develop social campaigns that increase event sign-ups and brand awareness.
  • Track and share analytics on engagement and campaign performance to inform improvements.

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Work closely with Indonesia Chapter Leads and volunteers for consistent messaging and storytelling.
  • Align with She Loves Data’s global marketing team to keep the Indonesia chapter on-brand and connected to the wider community.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (global and local team) to ensure a smooth content development, approvals up to publishing schedules.
