Purpose of Job
Drive Sodexo Malaysia-Singapore Cluster’s strategy and initiatives in the following areas:
- Food Waste Management
- Sustainable Eating
- Social Impact
- Responsible Sourcing
- Single-Use Plastics Reduction and Alternatives
- Carbon Footprint Reduction
- Gender Empowerment
- Inclusive Hiring of Persons with Disabilities and Persons from underprivileged backgrounds etc.
- Various dimensions of inclusion e.g. Generations and Cultures
Job Responsibilities
- Manage Waste Watch Programm - Enhance capacity of Operations teams to track, validate and analyze food waste data
- Work with Operations and Food Platform teams to track and increase plant-based offerings in menus
- Design and implement Servathon (employee-driven fundraising and volunteering committee) planning and activities
- Market scanning to explore and onboard vendors who align with responsible sourcing principles, as well as providers of sustainability-related services such as food waste and plastic recycling
- Provide carbon emission calculations for Sodexo Operations on client sites
- Manage annual Sustainability Reporting process
- Work on gender, generations and inclusive hiring-related initiatives
- Create sustainability and DE&I-related communications – e.g. case studies, thought leadership articles and videos, social media posts etc. with Marketing and Brand & Communications teams
- Manage sustainability and DE&I award applications
- Develop and manage relationships with clients on Sustainability and DE&I collaborations
- Craft Business Development proposals and pitches on Sustainability and DE&I
- Represent Sodexo on Sustainability and DE&I-related speaking opportunities such as radio segments, journalist interviews, industry panels and guest lecturing in Institutes of Higher Learning
- Develop and manage relationships with non-profits, social enterprises and government bodies to develop new initiatives, as well as learn and share Sustainability and DE&I best practices
