Drone Engineer is responsible for supporting end-to-end drone operations, including research, data analysis, pilot training, and technical troubleshooting. This role ensures the reliability and performance of drone systems through maintenance, repair, and compliance with operational standards. The position also involves customer engagement through trials, as well as administrative responsibilities such as reporting, auditing, and claims handling.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing flight log drone (DJI, XAG, Mission Planner, QGroundControl) for incident analysis and technical troubleshooting
- Communicating and coordinating with drone manufacturers/vendors (aftersales, technical support, and problem escalation)
- Handling Claims Administrator duties (warranty claims/RMA, unit history, and incident documentation)
- Assembling, custom building, and integrating drone hardware systems
- Remote troubleshooting with pilot in the field
- Perform hardware maintenance, repair electronics (soldering, internal/external battery, components), and report documentation
- Conducting trials and demo units with customers on site (as needed)
- Training customers and pilots on site or HO (as needed)
- Advanced on-site troubleshooting for critical technical issues (as needed)
- Monitor SOP for engineering team
- Make a work report and technical maintenance guides
