Description of the mission

Student Programme Development and Implementation

  • Design, revamp, and implement specialisation and innovation learning programmes, exhibitions, and related competitions aligned with the Academy’s Talent Development framework, promoting Whole Person Development and future skills competencies.
  • Coordinate and coach students in project-based, collaborative, and self-directed specialisation and innovation learning experiences that ignite intellectual curiosity, foster confidence, and cultivate the capacity for original research, creative inquiry, and interdisciplinary knowledge creation.
  • Implement coaching and mentorship programmes that support students in identifying their academic interests, shaping personalised learning pathways, and engaging in intellectually rigorous and conceptually rich learning experiences that promote deep academic exploration and innovation.
  • Support and guide students in participating in prestigious local, regional, national, and international competitions, academic conferences, researches, exhibitions, and learning experiences, showcasing high-impact learning while overseeing programme logistics, finance, service provider coordination, and student placement processes.
  • Oversee programme operations including enrolment, scheduling, records, and emergency handling; administer divisional and academy-level educational and publicity events to showcase student development and achievements.

Programme Evaluation and Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive repository of teaching and learning materials, student works, and artefacts to support institutional knowledge sharing, case studies, exhibitions, and long-term asset management.
  • Conduct class observations, participant interviews, and administer feedback mechanisms to evaluate learning experiences and outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement, quality assurance, and evidence-based reporting.
  • Uphold institutional accountability by adhering to all relevant policies, guidelines, and codes of ethics, ensuring programme integrity and professional standards across all activities.
  • Compile analytical reports with substantiated evidence of team performance, goal attainment, and key performance indicators (KPIs), contributing to strategic planning and operational transparency.
  • Contribute actively to the development of the Academy’s knowledge hub in Gifted Education, fostering innovation, thought leadership, and the dissemination of best practices within the professional community.

Communication and Publicity

  • Maintain effective, professional communication and collaboration with internal teams, SPs, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless programme delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Design and disseminate promotional materials, coordinate events and campaigns, and contribute to Academy-wide publicity initiatives to showcase student achievements and enhance public engagement.
  • Administer and support annual divisional and academy-level events, while fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive execution and impactful outcomes.
  • Ensure all practices, services, and provisions comply with academy guidelines and policies, while remaining responsive and flexible to ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior Programme Officer and/or Programme Manager, contributing to the overall effectiveness and agility of the team.

Profile

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree preferably in STEAM disciplines or equivalent.
  • Minium 4 years work experience with NGO, education institution or civil services especially in academic or learning programme development, project and event management.
  • A registered teacher with 2-4 years’ relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Prior experience in coaching, mentorship, training, counselling, mentoring would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills. Be patient, empathetic and interested to work with young people.
  • Good command of both English and Chinese (written and spoken) is essential. Putonghua will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in using MS Office. Good knowledge of IT tools application such as generative AI applications, Canva, social media platforms, and electronic publishing is a plus.
  • Occasionally travel to the Chinese Mainland and overseas with students is required.

Terms of Appointment:

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed term contract. Renewal will be subject to mutual agreement and good performance. A gratuity will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental insurance.
