➔ Description of the mission

What We Can Achieve Together

The Donor Communications Officer is primarily responsible for developing donor communications materials to advance Principal Gifts fundraising in emerging markets. Working remotely, they will support colleagues based in the U.S., including New York City, as well as London, São Paulo, Hong Kong and Singapore. Additionally, they will support the donor communications and donor messaging needs of TNC’s global campaign as requested by the Director and Associate Director of Donor Communications.

The Donor Communications Officer helps lead the development and production of bespoke communications materials for TNC’s top donors. They will write and edit materials in support of the organization’s 2030 goals. This will include donor products designed to help fundraisers share consistent, compelling stories and connect with new audiences, including ultra-high-net-worth global citizens and corporate donors. They will assist the Associate Director in building relationships with a dynamic, entrepreneurial fundraising team that is globally dispersed. They produce content for both internal and external audiences and contribute to overall strategy as well as specific project outcomes.

As a member of the Donor Relations team, the Donor Communications Officer is an integral part of a cross-functional, highly motivated group of donor communications, stewardship and engagement professionals. They work regularly with key partners across the organization, including fundraising, marketing and conservation staff. They make recommendations to leadership regarding strategy and processes used by the team. The Donor Communications Officer will report to the Associate Director of Donor Communications.
