About the Position
Union Aid Abroad – APHEDA in Vietnam is seeking a Program Officer – Environment to support the project Women Pioneers in Building Green Communities and Local Environmental Governance and contribute to APHEDA’s broader work on environment, climate change and just energy transition in Vietnam.
The Program Officer will work closely with the Country Representative and project partners, including Women’s Union partners, to support project implementation, provide technical input, facilitate project activities and contribute to strengthening APHEDA’s work and visibility in the environment and energy transition sector.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Officer will:
- Coordinate and monitor project activities and work closely with Women’s Union and other project partners;
- Provide technical input on environmental protection, climate change, renewable energy and just energy transition;
- Support practical environmental initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, composting, renewable energy and other climate-friendly practices;
- Work with local partners as a co-trainer and/or facilitator for environmental training, meetings and workshops when required;
- Attend and represent APHEDA at relevant meetings, workshops and events on behalf of the Country Representative when required;
- Maintain good working relationships with partners, local authorities, government agencies and other relevant organisations;
- Contribute to promoting APHEDA’s work and visibility in environment, climate change and just energy transition;
- Monitor and document project results, good practices, lessons learned and beneficiary stories; and
- Contribute to project reports, communication materials and donor updates.
