Role Summary
The Sales Assistant Manager is a high-impact role built on the principle of "Lead by Example." You will serve as the branch’s lead practitioner, demonstrating elite closing proficiency by managing strategic accounts while simultaneously building the scalable training, playbooks, and coaching systems that enable the wider team to succeed. You are also a "Player-Coach" who ensures every customer journey is fast, seamless, and high-quality.
Key Responsibilities
● Strategic Producer & Market Intelligence: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for High-Net-Worth (HNW) and complex strategic deals. Utilise these "front-line" insights to provide Management with timely feedback and solution proposals regarding pricing effectiveness and sales promotions.
● Sales Operations & Journey Excellence: Champion the "Fastest in Market" initiative by optimising First Contact Discovery (FCD) benchmarks; own the end-to-end Customer Handling Discovery (CHD) process to ensure a seamless transition and high-quality NPS (Net Promoter Score) for customers and internal stakeholders.
● Capability Architect (Playbooks & Coaching): Design and deliver scalable training, Sales Playbooks, and real-deal coaching clinics to standardise technical product knowledge and elite objection handling across the team.
● Performance & Accountability: Implement visible scoreboards and conduct regular performance check-ins to monitor and improve key metrics such as NOC per Consultant and conversion rates.
● Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Marketing on lead quality and referral systems, and with Project/O&M teams to ensure delivery confidence during the sales process.
Qualifications
● Engineering background (or equivalent technical experience) is highly preferred.
● 5-8 years in consultative sales, preferably in high-ticket environments (Solar, Property, Wealth).
● Proven track record of high-performance closing and managing Net Promoter Score (NPS) quality standards.
● Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are essential for sales trend modelling and promotion effectiveness analysis.
● Demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring sales teams to improve conversion rates.
● System improvement experience, such as building sales scripts, playbooks, or standardised conversion strategies.
