Job Overview

WBCSD is looking for an intern to join the APAC team from February to May 2025 to support two major events—India Connect and Ecosperity. Each event involves a two-day conference with leadership, stakeholders, and members, requiring extensive planning, logistics, and administrative support. Additionally, the interns will assist with daily operations to provide essential resources while the team awaits the onboarding of a new associate to support member relations in the region. This role is critical in ensuring the success of these events and maintaining efficiency during this busy period.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organizing invites
  • Working with global content leads on event agendas
  • Coordinating notes of meetings and event lineup
  • Assisting with event planning and logistics
  • On-site event management
  • Post-event follow-up
  • Supporting daily operations for the APAC team
  • Helping with administrative work when liaising with WBCSD APAC members
  • Other ad-hoc activities as required
Profile

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Candidates currently or recently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in event planning, customer service, marketing, communications, business management/administration, or sustainability fields are preferred.
  • We are seeking outgoing, self-motivated individuals interested in sustainability and capable of working independently while communicating effectively with both the team and external partners/vendors.
  • Ideally, candidates should have event management and/or communications and marketing skills.
  • Good team spirit and the ability to build, nurture and work effectively in teams of partners/stakeholders, able to interact with senior representatives of WBCSD and member companies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written), strong presentation skills with the ability to adjust style of communication to suit audience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience in event management is a bonus.
  • Must be able to commit for the duration of the internship (February to May 2025).
  • The candidate needs to be based in Singapore and able to work on-site.
