The position will be based in Manila, Philippines and will report directly to the Finance and Accounting Manager.

Job Description

Accounting functions:

  • Maintain accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
  • Prepare daily cash position reports and reconcile bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger and other related records.
  • Maintain accounting databases by entering data into the computer and processing backups.
  • Prepare forms for government remittances and pay to SSS, HDMF, Philhealth, etc.
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Handle end to end process of accounts payable
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Assist in standard month end procedures which include but are not limited to analysis and resolution of accounting problems, BIR reportorial requirements, process gov’t agency requirements (SSS, Philhealth, etc.), City Hall and Brgy. Documents, etc.

Operations functions:

  • Process loans application
  • Monitor and maintain files of loan borrowers
  • Monitor loan payments and coordinate with the borrowers
  • Monitor compliance with the policy, government BIR, SEC, AML, SSS, PHIC, HDMF and other government regulatory
  • Process end to end payroll requirements
  • Support HR functions such as recruitment, benefits implementation, servicing and tracking, etc.
  • Support preparation of legal documents
  • Continuous updating of knowledge on Labor Law developments, employer and employee benefits, etc.
  • Administrative support such as arranging office supplies, repairs, etc.
Profile

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelors of Science in Accountancy or related course
  • Experience in a Financing/Lending Company is a definite plus
  • Experience in bookkeeping services and external audit
  • Knowledgeable in computerized accounting
  • Knowledgeable in SEC, AML, BIR, payroll preparation, SSS, HDMF and Philhealth compliance/government requirements
  • Experience in monitoring the use of the equipment and facilities of the Company
  • Experience in providing day-to-day and/or project-based assistance to the Management and Administrative team
  • Highly resourceful, independent, and self-starting
  • Suited to work in a fluid startup environment in the Philippines
  • Interested in social development issues
