The Program Management Officer is a full-time position to support the team in developing and improving work efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration to drive the decarbonization and just energy transition agenda, specifically targeting coal phase-down/out initiatives. That position will work closely with the Project Manager, Organizational Development Manager, and Finance & Operations Lead.

1. Project Planning & Lifecycle Management (60%)

  • Develop and maintain clear project roadmaps, milestones, and master timelines for CERAH’s strategic initiatives and advocacy programs.
  • Timeline & Resource Tracking: Monitor day-to-day project progress, manage operational pipelines, identify potential bottlenecks, and ensure all internal teams meet their deliverables on schedule.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central operational hub connecting diverse teams (Research, Campaigners, Media/Communications, and Grant Management), ensuring seamless alignment.
  • Data & Impact Reporting: Collect project data, analyze outcomes, and compile comprehensive progress and impact reports for internal management, donors, and key stakeholders.

2. Operational Support & Stakeholder Management (40%)

  • Oversee the logistical planning, execution framework, and administrative support for coalition meetings, high-level workshops, and public outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain high-quality control across all project deliverables, ensuring they align with CERAH’s standards, and proactively mitigate risks that could delay project timelines.
  • Manage operational communications, coordination, and follow-ups with external partners, civil society organizations (CSOs), youth movements, and funding partners.

Profile

Who we are looking for:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven. You excel at turning complex advocacy ideas into structured, actionable project workflows.
  • Deeply motivated by energy transition, environmental issues, and social justice in Indonesia.
  • Proficient in using project management software to track team progress.
  • A self-starter who can lead project syncs, hold team members accountable, and quickly adapt to the fast-paced nature of climate advocacy and policy changes.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders from grassroots communities to high-level partners.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working within environmental NGOs, think-tanks, startups, or youth-led organizations.
  • Solid understanding of the Social Science, Environmental Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
