About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated NGO Associate to join our growing team at our headquarters in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our fundraising and community development initiatives. As an NGO Associate, you will be at the heart of our operations, contributing to both fundraising strategy and community outreach programmes. This role offers you the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve whilst developing valuable experience in the non-profit sector.

Key responsibilities

Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and donation drives to sustain organisational operations and community programmes
Identify, research and cultivate relationships with potential donors, corporate sponsors and grant-funding organisations
Assist in the preparation of compelling fundraising proposals, reports and communications materials
Coordinate community outreach activities, events and programmes in collaboration with local stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of donor information, contributions and programme outcomes
Liaise between the organisation, community members, volunteers and external partners to ensure effective programme delivery
Support the monitoring and evaluation of community development initiatives to measure impact and effectiveness
Contribute to the creation of content and marketing materials to raise awareness of our mission and programmes
Assist with administrative tasks and day-to-day operational support as required

Profile

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in social sciences, business administration, communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered
Demonstrated passion for social impact, community development and the non-profit sector
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are advantageous
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders including donors, community members and partner organisations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort with digital tools and platforms
Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
A collaborative mindset and willingness to work effectively within a team environment
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic non-profit setting
Prior experience in fundraising, community engagement or non-profit operations is highly desirable
