Sr. Associate Proposals and Partnerships is an experienced, proactive, goal-oriented and self-driven development professional with interest and ability to conceptualize ideas, articulate concepts, and package winning proposals for global development organizations. This individual will play a pivotal role in organizing and prioritizing opportunities, leading the development of strong proposals, ensuring timely submission, and coordinating the entire proposal management process.

The candidate will work in a multicultural environment and gain significant insights into the creative and development sector.

Key responsibilities:

Proposals packaging

  • Lead and manage the review, shortlisting, and shortlisting of the RFP opportunities alongside BD Lead
  • Plan and manage the workflow and workload of all proposals for the unit - the proposal process including task delegation, response editing and submission
  • Oversee the proposal development process, coordinating with the proposal packaging team to manage timelines and deadlines.
  • Lead the drafting of proposals/provide direction, leveraging benchmarks, concept writing, and objectives - ensure production of high-quality proposals
  • Participate in and contribute to meetings with clients, experts, and regional colleagues as needed.

Coordination and Management

  • Organize and prioritize proposal opportunities, ensuring the team is focused on the most strategic and impactful projects.
  • Drive the proposal packaging process, ensuring all components are complete and meet the required standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive schedule of proposal deadlines and ensure the team stays on track.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver required outputs promptly.

Knowledge Management

  • Ensure compliance with internal document and knowledge management processes.
  • Organize, update, and manage internal databases, proposals, and sales materials/documents on an internal shared drive.
Profile

Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2.5-3 years of experience in RFPs/proposal/grants writing, preferably within the nonprofit or social sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong research, analytical & writing skills with a proven track record of successful/winning proposals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in donor relations and partnership management would be an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team coordination or management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications and Google Suite.
