Bagosphere is expanding and strengthening its organization. Your primary responsibility as the Finance and Compliance Officer is to ensure the company’s adherence to regulatory requirements set by various government agencies and financial institutions. Additionally, your role involves overseeing General Accounting processes, including disbursement, and managing invoicing and collections in coordination with internal teams and partners.

This multifaceted position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to maintain seamless compliance and financial operations within the company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Compliance

  • Facilitate the timely and accurate filing of BIR and SEC-related documents while staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the process of obtaining and renewing business permits.
  • Manage compliance with TESDA requirements, ensuring proper registration and successful completion of audits.
  • Handle Data Privacy Act (DPA) registration and renewal processes.
  • Guarantee compliance with various government agencies and banks, excluding SSS, Philhealth, and HDMF.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and coordinate notarization processes.
  • Assure the proper filing of original copies of important compliance-related documents.

Disbursements

  • Conduct detailed reviews of disbursement transactions.
  • Verify online banking payments

Invoice & Collection

  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Training Teams for pricing and payment coordination.
  • Coordinate with partners for invoicing and collection arrangements.
  • Create sales invoices and forward them to clients.
  • Arrange receipt of payment from clients;
  • Arrange the receipt of payment from clients and issue Official Receipts/Acknowledgment Receipts when applicable.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare Ad hoc reports upon request
  • Respond to finance and compliance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Profile

Winning Factors: Must have qualifications

  • Residing in Bacolod or nearby cities in Negros Occidental with a willingness to work in a hybrid set-up
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 3 years of work experience
  • Proficient in General/Financial Accounting, Tax, and Management Accounting
  • Practical experience in External Auditing, Bookkeeping, and compliance matters with BIR, SEC, TESDA, and other governmental agencies
  • Experience in any ERP system, preferably NetSuite or QuickBooks
  • Demonstrated mastery of MS Excel/Google Spreadsheet and tech-savvy capabilities, including adaptability in learning new software, platforms, and tools needed for a hybrid set-up
  • Proficient in English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Diligent and guided by high ethical standards
  • Enthusiastic about taking a hands-on approach to accomplish tasks
  • Qualifications or experience related to finance work in the Singaporean context are advantageous but not required.
