Content Development

  • To oversee developing content goals and the strategies to reach those goals.
  • To oversee the creation of an editorial calendar to establish when content will be distributed and which channels/departments.
  • Synthesizer of ideas and able to communicate with a variety of different people to create effective content for Radio, Digital and Social Media.
  • Working closely with the content team in creating compelling and related table content that will translate to our audience and partners.

Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with Malaysian regulations, including those set by the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Kementerian Komunikasi (KKMM). This involves obtaining approvals for commercials and promotional productions, airing Public Service Announcements (PSAs), and submitting mandated reports. Also ensures compliance with regulations from Kementerian Belia & Sukan and agreements with organizations such as Public Performance Malaysia (PPM) and Music Authors Copyright Protection (MACP). Maintains accurate records and schedules to ensure adherence to company rules and regulations across all platforms.

Revenue

  • To work closely with the Strategy & Development in ensuring ratings and revenue are met.
  • To update the management in accordance to revenue growth, progress and issues.
  • Ensuring all set revenue targets are met successfully across all multi-channels in making the company profitable and successful.

Quality campaigns to meet client’s expectations

  • Maintaining market share with all competitors, user’s satisfaction and participation in terms of radio, digital and social media.
  • Meeting all client’s requirements successfully with zero complaints.
  • Setting benchmarks to be industry leaders as a multi-channel media brand.

Radio Programming

  • Responsible for overseeing radio programming to ensure suitability, professionalism, and adherence to station regulations. Makes decisions on scheduling and timetabling of radio shows, ensuring coverage and preventing dead-air. Manages scheduling of brand ambassadors, guests, and presenters, ensuring they are well-trained and compliant with station rules. Has authority to suspend or discharge brand ambassadors as necessary, in consultation with management. Also responsible for adapting programming formats to align with trends while maintaining professionalism and reputation.

Operations

  • Responsible for decision-making regarding integration and promotional campaigns, including collaborations with external parties and managing airtime inventory. Works closely with programming and clients to ensure holistic execution of on-air campaigns. Participates in establishing short- and long-term goals, policies, and operating procedures, and monitors program effectiveness. Directs day-to-day operational support for various company subunits and oversees records maintenance, reporting, and compliance activities. Provides solutions and assistance to senior leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating operational modifications. Researches and makes recommendations for equipment acquisition and ensures program initiatives align with company values. Provides leadership to foster initiative among team members.

Staff Development

  • Responsible for monitoring departmental growth and ensuring comprehensive training for all staff, including Brand Ambassadors, to optimize departmental output. Manages staff schedules and duties allocation. Plans and establishes organizational structures and systems to support the achievement of the organization's goals and maintain market leadership. Assigns work, coordinates continuous operations, training, scheduling, retention, problem resolution, and performance management across multi-channel delivery. Coordinates workshops, special projects, and events, and may serve on unit committees and task forces.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Journalism or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in media operations, journalism, or related field.
  • Knowledge on Radio licensing is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Leadership, Strategic Management, Public Relationship, Knowledgeable in the Industry.
  • Experience in Radio Computing Services, Social Media, Words, Powerpoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Docs and Slides.
