➔ Description of the mission

As a Communications Specialist (Designer), you create high-quality visual content that communicates the organization's mission and campaign messages. This role involves designing for digital and print platforms, ensuring brand consistency, and supporting campaigns, events, and donor communications. Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to simplify complex information into compelling visuals are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Design

  • Collaborate with writers, marketers, and other team members to develop effective communication materials.
  • Design and create visually appealing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and infographics.
  • Use design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create high-quality visuals.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all design materials.
  • Develop designs with client/partner needs and behavior in mind.
  • Participate in concept development and brainstorming sessions to generate creative solutions.

Digital Design

  • Create digital assets such as banner ads, social media graphics, and email templates.
  • Optimize visuals for different digital platforms and devices.
  • Ability and knowledge to adapt designs across various screen sizes.

Layout and Typography

  • Develop effective layouts and choose appropriate typography to enhance readability and visual appeal.
  • Use color theory and design principles to create visually engaging materials.

Print Production

  • Prepare print-ready design files, ensuring proper file formats, resolution, bleed, and color settings (e.g., CMYK).
  • Work with printers to ensure high-quality printing and timely delivery.
  • Review proofs and manage revisions for print accuracy.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple design projects for various events and programs and meet deadlines.
  • Accept and implement feedback from the team and other concerned stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized file management and version control.

Compensation

PHP 23,000 to 25,000 per month

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Graphic Design or related field
  • 1–2 years of design experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and design tools
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills
  • Familiar with digital & print production
  • Eye for detail, layout, and typography
  • Creative, organized, and deadline-driven
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Bonus: Photography, video editing, or animation skills
