Lunas Collective is a feminist, volunteer-powered chat helpline and care space for people who experience gender-based violence (GBV) and discrimination and/or have sexual and reproductive health concerns and is registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Officer will support the implementation and management of Power-Up Project supported by The Asia Foundation. The primary responsibility of the Finance Officer is to support the Chief Operating Officer and Project heads in leading the operations of the Lunas Collective.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS

The Finance Officer is expected to do the following:

  • Organize finances for at least one project, in particular:
  • Assist the Project Manager in the management and monitoring of the financial record of the whole project
  • In collaboration with the Project Manager, ensure that project expenditures are within budget allocation;
  • Prepare, finalize, and submit financial reports and supporting documents in a timely manner upon review and approval of Project Manager;
  • Lead and manage the overall financial processes in adherence to Lunas’s Collective feminist value and principles,
  • Lead in facilitating timely release of honoraria to staff and consultants;
  • Facilitate and carry out all finance related requests
  • Prepare vouchers, petty cash requests and other finance related documents/forms needed by the team in carrying out their tasks;
  • Perform other finance related tasks upon the request of the Project Managers;
  • Attend and participate in project meetings;
  • Serve as liaison with the admin officer, and keep an updated register of all assets and inventory including files of asset theft/damage reports, disposals, etc.
  • Ensure Lunas Collective’s Compliance with BIR and SEC Regulations:
  • Preparation, filing, payment and archiving of various tax returns for monthly, quarterly and annual tax for BIR Compliance
  • Handle SEC compliance, submission of Annual Financial Statement, General Information Sheet and other required annual filings.
  • Gross salary ranges from 25,000-30,000
  • Work from Lunas Office 3 to 4 times a week
  • Compliance with policies on safeguarding, protection from sexual abuse, exploitation, harassment, and child protection.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Preferably with a background in youth leadership
  • Access to the internet, laptop and smartphone
  • Very familiar with sheets, document processing, PowerPoint/ preparing Canva deck, and digital communication and online work apps
  • Believes in feminist principles of gender justice (or at least willing to learn)
  • Detail oriented and finds solutions
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree courses related to accounting and finance management
  • Applicant must have a clean record with no previous instances of fraud or sexual harassment/abuse.
