Jobs_that_makesense Asia is a tech platform born out of the international organization, makesense, which operates globally to support citizens to contribute to the ecological and societal transition our world deeply deserves.

Our makesense Asia team consists of 20 passionate impact enthusiasts based in Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Singapore, supported by over 100 amazing colleagues from our other makesense offices in Paris, Mexico City, and Beirut.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Content and Social Media Manager to lead our social media efforts to enhance our brand visibility online, and elevate the profile of the incredible impact and sustainability space in Southeast Asia among students, graduates, and professionals.

Profile

You’ll be responsible for increasing Jobs_that_makesense social media presence. This mission provides a unique blend of digital and social media marketing experience, allowing you to develop valuable skills in:

  • Content creation and management
  • Social media engagement and community building
  • Graphic design
  • Digital marketing
  • Job selection and curation

If you are passionate about the impact sector, have a flair for digital communication, and possess expertise in online marketing tools, we encourage you to apply!

We are looking for profiles that meet the following criteria:

A creative individual who is passionate about creating content and staying updated with the latest trends and marketing news. The ideal candidate will be available full-time for 9 months, starting from mid-February or early March, and should have at least 2 years of relevant experience.

You will be entrusted with the following missions:

> Content creation and management (70%)

Content calendar development across various platforms (FB, IG, LI and Tiktok)

  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality content, including text, images, and videos that utilises content best practices and resonates with the target audience
  • Community Management: Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
  • Short-form Video Content: Producing short-form videos (i.e. reels and TikToks) that engages audiences effectively, aligns with brand goals, and leverages platform features to drive engagement and reach
  • Innovation and Research: Drive innovation in content creation through keeping updated with the latest trends, formats, algorithms, and news to continuously drive results – while creating content that resonates with the target audience

Analytics and Reporting

  • Social Media Monitoring: Track and analyze key metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on social media performance and provide recommendations for improvements on a regular basis
  • Experimentation: Experiment with different content formats and strategies to optimize results

Newsletter

  • Developing blog posts and/or proofreading existing content

> KOL and ambassador management (20%)

  • Sourcing and Onboarding: Identify and recruit KOLs and micro-influencers aligned with the brand’s values, goals, and target audience
  • Content Planning: Develop creative content briefs and campaign plans tailored to individual influencers, ensuring alignment with brand messaging
  • Content Review: Evaluate influencer-generated content to maintain quality standards and ensure adherence to brand guidelines
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term relationships with KOLs and micro-influencers through regular communication, feedback, and support
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze influencer performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Collaboration Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for influencers, addressing their needs and resolving issues to ensure smooth collaborations

> Job Selection and Creation (10%)

  • Source relevant job openings in SEA aligning with the Jobs that makesense Asia mission
  • Curate job postings ensuring quality, relevance, and accurate content
  • Upload curated job listings on the job board platform
  • Collaborate with internal teams for accurate representation and strategic alignment of job postings

Qualifications:

Must-haves:

  • Past experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in social media management and/or community management, specifically on LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write professional emails to clients and third parties.
  • Social media usage: Familiar with managing social media pages, especially on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Team collaboration: Demonstrated experience managing projects to do with social media communications; preferably with experience working in a team setting
  • Trends monitoring: Have a strong habit of staying updated with social media conventions and trends. You are personally motivated to immerse yourself in social media platforms and generate content ideas that look native.
  • Mindset: An attitude of testing, learning, and iterating. You have a healthy respect for data and a curiosity about challenging and innovating traditional ways of doing things
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively address challenges.
  • Work Style: Autonomous, proactive, and capable of collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Passion for Sustainability: Deeply motivated by the opportunity to create positive environmental and social impact. You stay informed about sustainability trends and are committed to contributing to a greener, more equitable future.
  • Regional Knowledge: Strong familiarity with digital usage trends in Southeast Asia.

Nice-to-haves:

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or Psychology
  • Previous experience (i.e. in internships or volunteer organizations) in sustainability and impact

Recruitment Process:

Contract Length: 9 months, full-time (exclusive commitment; no side projects permitted)

Start Date: Mid-February to start of March

Location: Can be based either in Manila, Philippines (preferred) or; Bangkok, Thailand

Contract type: Consultancy contract - must be self-registered and able to invoice

Benefits:

  • Leaves: 1.5 days/month
  • Compensation: 500 to 700 USD/month (Based on previous experiences)
  • With occasional paid travel
  • Work from home with quarterly in-person one-week long meetings in Manila
