Jobs_that_makesense (JTMS) is a platform developed by the international organization makesense, designed to accelerate the sustainability transition in Southeast Asia by helping people build careers in the green and social impact economy.

Launched in France in 2021, JTMS quickly became the leading impact job platform in the country. In 2024, we expanded into Southeast Asia, and are now serving over 20,000 monthly users and supporting over 1,000 green purpose employers across the region.

The Asia office of makesense is made up of 20 passionate professionals based in Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Singapore. Five of us are dedicated to JTMS Asia, working hand-in-hand with our colleagues in France to scale a mission-driven product adapted to the Southeast Asian context.

About Your Mission

We are looking for a Content & Social Media Officer to lead and evolve our social media presence at Jobs_that_makesense Asia. You will grow our visibility and amplify the stories, opportunities, and urgency of the impact and climate space across Southeast Asia.

This role focuses on shaping and executing our content strategy across platforms, curating and communicating meaningful job opportunities, and building an engaged, values-driven community of fresh graduates and mid-career professionals looking to grow within the impact space. You will create and oversee written, visual, and video content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn—translating the complexity of the green economy into narratives that are clear, resonant, and actionable.

You’ll join a small but high-performing marketing team, working closely with our Digital Marketing & Traffic Performance Lead to align content with campaigns, programs, and community initiatives across Southeast Asia.

Your Key Responsibilities

Job Curation (20%)

  • Source and curate timely, ethical, and high-impact job opportunities, training programs, and funded fellowships across Southeast Asia—ensuring each listing meaningfully contributes to the climate and impact sector.
  • Maintain quality and alignment by ensuring all postings are accurate, well-vetted, and strategically aligned with Jobs_that_makesense’s mission and priorities
  • Publicize the curated list of job opportunities weekly on social media, helping increase visibility to the community

Content Strategy and Creation (60%)

This can be broken down into four main categories:

General Content Strategy & Management

  • Plan and manage a multi-platform content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Develop high-quality written, visual, and short-form video content that resonates with target audiences
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster an inclusive, engaged community
  • Continuously experiment with content formats, messaging, and campaigns to improve reach and performance

Programme Communications & Lead Generation

  • Develop and execute content strategies that promote events and organizational programmes including the Climate Career Accelerator
  • Design content to drive awareness, interest, and participation, including lead-generation campaigns
  • In coordination with the Events and Partnerships Officer, support the strategizing and production of programme promotions

External Partnerships & KOL Collaboration

  • Identify and research relevant Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Develop campaign briefs and co-create content strategies with partners, aligning organisational messaging with each collaborator’s unique voice and brand

Analytics & Reporting (20%)

  • Monitor and track key social media metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions
  • Prepare quarterly performance reports and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Use insights from data to inform content strategy and test new approaches to optimize results

Profile

You are passionate about growing the climate and impact workforce in Southeast Asia and excited to use storytelling as a tool for connection and change. You thrive on storytelling—making complex ideas feel accessible and engaging. You enjoy taking initiative, experimenting with new formats, and turning insights into content that resonates.

Required Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Content Creation, Social Media Management, Digital Communications, or similar
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms end-to-end and strategizing content calendars across multiple platforms
  • Strong background in creating written, visual, and short-form video content (EX. Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok)
  • Experience in community management, including engaging with audiences through comments, messages, and discussions
  • Experience in a fast-paced, small and agile environment such as a startup, SME, or digital platform
  • Past experience in HR tech, recruitment, or impact-related organizations is a strong plus

Desired Skills:

  • Strong storytelling and content design skills, with the ability to adapt tone, format, and messaging across platforms and diverse audiences
  • Proactive and highly organized, able to manage multiple content streams and optimize campaigns based on data and insights
  • Skilled in creating engaging visual and short-form video content (EX. Reels, Shorts, TikTok) that aligns with platform trends and brand goals.
  • Experienced in social media analytics, reporting, and translating performance metrics into actionable recommendations.
  • Able to foster authentic, inclusive, and values-driven online communities, nurturing diverse audiences across Southeast Asia and responding to how their interests and needs evolve over time.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of another Southeast Asian language is a plus.
