What is Jobs_that_makesense?

Jobs_that_makesense (JTMS) is a social enterprise operating in France and Southeast Asia. Born out of the international organisation makesense, our mission is to grow the workforce that is accelerating just and equitable transitions across society.

Launched in France in 2021, Jobs_that_makesense quickly became the country's leading impact job platform. In 2024, we expanded to Southeast Asia, where we now serve more than 20,000 monthly users and support over 1,000 purpose-driven employers across the region.

Our mission is simple: to help more people build meaningful careers that contribute to positive social and environmental impact. We do this by providing information, learning experiences, career opportunities and connections that enable individuals to thrive while contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Our activities

  • Job Platform: We connect purpose-driven employers and training providers with people looking for meaningful career opportunities across Southeast Asia.
  • Climate Career Accelerator: Every month, we welcome 15–20 participants to a four-week online learning experience designed to help them understand the climate ecosystem in Southeast Asia and navigate careers within the sector.
  • Hiring That Makesense: We design and deliver customised capacity-building programmes for impact organisations to strengthen their recruitment practices and become employers of choice.
  • Media & Community: Through our editorial content, newsletters, social media, events and networking opportunities, we help our community understand the evolution of the impact economy, discover career opportunities and learn how they can become part of this growing movement.

Role context: Growing Southeast Asia's go-to platform for impact careers

Most people who want a career with purpose struggle to find one. Not because the jobs don't exist, but because opportunities are scattered, difficult to find and sometimes hard to navigate. Many people don't know which sectors are hiring, what skills they need or where to start.

In just two years, Jobs_that_makesense Asia has grown to more than 20,000 monthly users and over 1,000 employers. We have built a growing community of people interested in meaningful careers and developed programmes and events to help them take their next steps.

Our next challenge is to turn this growing audience into a more engaged community of job seekers, learners and participants, while building a sustainable business model for JTMS Asia.

> We want growth that means something. More website visits are only valuable if the people behind them find relevant opportunities, join our programmes, attend our events or return to our platform.

> We want to understand what works. Which channels bring us the right audiences? What motivates someone to register for a programme? Why do some visitors convert while others leave? How can we make better use of the community we have already built?

> And we want every touchpoint to lead somewhere. A job listing, an event, an advertisement, an email or a social media post should be part of a coherent journey that helps people move from discovering JTMS to taking meaningful action.

To achieve this, we are looking for a Growth Lead who can combine strategy, data analysis, experimentation and hands-on execution to accelerate the business growth of JTMS Asia.

Your mission

As Growth Lead, your mission is to turn Jobs_that_makesense Asia's growing audience into an engaged community of job seekers, learners and paying participants. You will lead our user acquisition, conversion and revenue growth strategies, ensuring that more people discover JTMS, find relevant career opportunities and enrol in our programmes and events.

Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. From paid campaigns and conversion funnels to CRM automation and data analytics, you will build and optimise the systems that enable JTMS to grow sustainably.

You will work closely with our Communications Officer, Business Developers, Events Officer and programme teams.

While the Communications Officer leads our editorial content, media and organic communications, you will focus on bringing the right audiences to our platform, guiding them through their journey and converting their interest towards the right JTMS product.

You will also work closely with our Business Developers, who lead employer relationships and B2B sales, while you focus primarily on B2C audience acquisition, engagement and conversion.

This is a hands-on role. You will define growth strategies, but you will also implement campaigns, manage funnels, test new approaches and improve our marketing systems.

Your success will not simply be measured by how many people see our content, but by how many take the next step: registering on our platform, applying for jobs, joining our programmes and purchasing tickets to our events.

Your responsibilities

Your role will be structured around three main areas.

1. User acquisition and audience growth

Bring the right people to Jobs_that_makesense and grow our community of impact job seekers across Southeast Asia.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing acquisition strategies that attract relevant audiences to our platform, programmes and events.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement JTMS Asia's digital acquisition strategy, identifying the most effective channels to reach job seekers, career transitioners and professionals interested in the impact economy.
  • Plan, launch and optimise paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta and LinkedIn, including audience targeting, budget allocation, creative testing and performance monitoring.
  • Develop retargeting strategies to reconnect with people who have visited our platform, explored our programmes or expressed interest in our events without taking the next step.
  • Identify opportunities to increase qualified traffic and user registrations through our job platform, newsletters, events and digital campaigns.
  • Build and optimise landing pages for our programmes, events and other offers, ensuring that visitors clearly understand their value and are encouraged to take action.
  • Explore new audience acquisition channels and test innovative approaches to reach people beyond our existing community.
  • Work with the Communications Officer to define campaign objectives, priority audiences, key messages and calls to action, while ensuring that editorial and growth strategies reinforce one another.
  • Develop distribution partnerships with universities, professional networks, communities, influencers and other relevant organisations to expand our reach across Southeast Asia.
  • Support JTMS's expansion into new Southeast Asian markets by identifying relevant audiences, testing acquisition channels and developing local distribution partnerships.

Your focus will not simply be on generating more traffic, but on attracting the right audiences and creating pathways for them to engage meaningfully with the different JTMS solutions.

2. Conversion and revenue growth

Turn our growing audience into active users, programme participants and paying customers.

JTMS Asia is developing several products and services to help people access careers in the impact economy, including the Climate Career Accelerator, learning programmes, workshops and career events.

You will be responsible for building and optimising the customer journeys that connect our audience with these opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own the online conversion and sales funnels for the Climate Career Accelerator, other capacity-building programmes and JTMS events, from initial interest to enrolment or ticket purchase.
  • Design and optimise customer journeys that guide people from discovering JTMS to registering, engaging with our content and purchasing relevant programmes or services.
  • Develop and test different offers, pricing approaches, early-bird campaigns, calls to action and promotional strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Build and optimise landing pages, registration forms and other conversion points to make the enrolment and purchasing process as simple and effective as possible.
  • Design and implement lead nurturing campaigns through email, CRM automations, retargeting and other digital channels.
  • Segment our existing audience based on interests, career aspirations, engagement history and behaviour to connect people with the most relevant opportunities.
  • Manage inquiries from prospective participants, helping them understand our programmes and supporting them through the enrolment process.
  • Work with the Communications Officer to develop campaign materials, including email sequences, advertisements, landing page content and promotional messages. You will also produce selected campaign materials directly when needed.
  • Collaborate with the programme and events teams to ensure that our marketing messages accurately reflect the participant experience and the value of our offers.
  • Work with the Business Developers and Events Officer to identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, from initial acquisition to participation and follow-up.

A central part of your role will be to understand why people convert, why others don't, and what we can do to continuously improve the experience.

3. Growth analytics, CRM and marketing automation

Build the systems and use the data that will enable JTMS to grow more effectively and sustainably.

We believe growth decisions should be driven by evidence, experimentation and continuous learning.

You will be responsible for strengthening our marketing infrastructure and helping the team understand which activities generate meaningful results.

Your responsibilities will include:

Growth analytics and performance measurement

  • Define and monitor key growth indicators, including website traffic, user acquisition, registrations, conversion rates, programme enrolments, event ticket sales and revenue.
  • Set up and maintain tracking across our website, platform, landing pages and digital campaigns, including conversion events, UTM parameters and advertising pixels.
  • Analyse user behaviour across the platform to identify where people engage, where they drop off and which improvements could increase conversion.
  • Develop clear dashboards and regular performance reports to help the team understand what is working and where to focus its efforts.
  • Monitor acquisition costs, conversion performance and campaign returns to inform marketing budget allocation.
  • Design and run growth experiments, including A/B testing of landing pages, messaging, advertisements and customer journeys.
  • Work with the tech team to identify and address platform issues that affect user experience, tracking or conversion.

CRM and marketing automation

  • Manage and maintain our job seeker and customer databases, ensuring that data remains accurate, organised and useful for marketing activities.
  • Maintain and improve our existing automations connecting the JTMS platform, Zapier and Customer.io.
  • Design automated email journeys for new registrations, programme prospects, event participants and inactive users.
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies to deliver more relevant communications and offers.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive marketing tasks and improve the efficiency of our growth operations.
  • Manage and strengthen our WhatsApp community as a channel for engagement, relationship-building and conversion.
  • Document key marketing processes, automations and workflows to ensure that our systems remain reliable and accessible to the wider team.

Strategic insights and continuous improvement

  • Regularly share insights with the Communications Officer, Business Developers and programme teams to improve campaign planning and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve JTMS's products, offers and customer journeys based on user behaviour and feedback.
  • Recommend where to invest time, resources and marketing budgets to generate the strongest results.
  • Contribute to building a culture of experimentation, learning and data-informed decision-making across JTMS Asia.

What success looks like

During your first year, we expect you to contribute to measurable progress across five areas:

1. Growth in qualified platform users

More people across Southeast Asia discover Jobs_that_makesense, register on the platform and actively engage with relevant career opportunities.

2. Increased programme enrolments and event sales

Our Climate Career Accelerator, learning programmes and events benefit from more effective acquisition and conversion strategies, leading to stronger enrolment and sales performance.

3. Better conversion of our existing audience

We develop a clearer understanding of our users and strengthen the journeys that turn website visitors, registered users and community members into active participants and customers.

4. Stronger marketing infrastructure

Our CRM, automations, tracking systems and dashboards enable the team to monitor performance, communicate more effectively and make better decisions.

5. A more sustainable growth model

We identify the acquisition channels, campaigns and offers that generate the strongest results, allowing JTMS to grow its audience and revenue more efficiently.

Specific performance targets will be defined together based on our existing data, available resources and growth priorities.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with creativity, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in building something that matters.

You enjoy understanding how people discover products, what motivates them to take action and how to design experiences that help them move forward.

You are comfortable moving between strategy and execution, from analysing a conversion funnel to launching an advertising campaign or improving an automated email journey.

Above all, you are motivated by the opportunity to use your growth expertise to help more people build meaningful careers across Southeast Asia.

Required experience

  • At least three years of hands-on experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, digital customer acquisition or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing digital acquisition strategies that have generated measurable results.
  • Experience managing paid advertising campaigns, particularly Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Experience building and optimising lead generation and conversion funnels for B2C products, services, programmes or events.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, email marketing and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics, campaign tracking and performance measurement.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and using data to optimise campaign performance.
  • Ability to demonstrate previous growth campaigns or projects, explaining the objectives, strategies, actions and results achieved.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred experience

  • Four to six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working in a startup, social enterprise, digital platform or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience marketing or selling learning programmes, online courses, career development services or events.
  • Experience working across multiple Southeast Asian markets.
  • Familiarity with the impact economy, climate sector, social innovation or future of work.
  • Experience developing partnerships or distribution channels to support user acquisition.

Technical skills

We are looking for someone comfortable working with a range of digital growth tools, including:

  • Paid advertising: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads or equivalent platforms.
  • Web analytics and tracking: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, UTM tracking, conversion events and advertising pixels.
  • CRM and email automation: Customer.io, HubSpot, Mailchimp or equivalent tools.
  • Marketing automation: Zapier or other no-code automation platforms.
  • Landing pages and conversion optimisation: Website content management systems, landing page builders and A/B testing tools.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Google Sheets, Excel, Looker Studio or equivalent tools.
  • Creative production: Canva, Figma or other basic design tools.

You do not need to be an expert in every tool listed above. What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, understand how different systems connect and use technology to deliver measurable growth.

The mindset we're looking for

You think in systems, not just campaigns. You understand how a job listing, an advertisement, an event and an email can connect to create a coherent user journey.

You are comfortable with numbers. You enjoy analysing performance, questioning assumptions and making decisions based on evidence rather than intuition alone.

You can combine strategy with execution. You are comfortable designing a growth plan and then rolling up your sleeves to implement it.

You are commercially minded. You understand that JTMS needs to develop sustainable revenue streams, and you enjoy finding ways to connect people's needs with products and services they value.

You are curious and experimental. You are not afraid to test new approaches, learn from unsuccessful experiments and adapt your strategy.

You are resourceful and independent. You can navigate ambiguity, find solutions and make progress without needing detailed instructions for every task.

You are collaborative. You enjoy working with communications, business development, programme and technical teams, and you know how to translate insights into clear recommendations.

You thrive in entrepreneurial environments. You are comfortable with evolving priorities, limited resources and the excitement of building something that is still growing.

You care about the impact economy. You believe that more people should have access to meaningful careers and want to contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive and equitable future.

What we offer

  • A full-time, one-year employment contract under makesense Philippines, with the possibility of renewal.
  • A monthly compensation package of PHP 55,000–60,000, including statutory benefits, health insurance and accident insurance.
  • The opportunity to take ownership of the growth strategy of a fast-growing impact career platform in Southeast Asia.
  • A highly collaborative, multicultural and entrepreneurial working environment.
  • Significant autonomy to experiment, propose new ideas and shape the next stage of JTMS Asia.
  • The opportunity to work across different Southeast Asian markets and collaborate with a regional team.
  • A role where your work will directly contribute to helping more people access meaningful careers and participate in the impact economy.
