Description of the mission

To continue strengthening our ability to support the energy transition in Indonesia and in the Southeast Asia region, our team in Jakarta is currently looking for a highly motivated and passionate candidate to become our new full-time Renewable Energy Consultant at Medior-Senior level.

What will you do

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Project Delivery - Energy Transition & Renewable Energy (60% of your time spent)

Contribute to the successful execution of ongoing and upcoming projects related to the energy transition in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, with a focus on variable renewable energy (wind and solar), as well as energy transmission, storage, and conversion.

  • Managing and executing consultancy studies covering technical, economic, and policy/regulatory aspects of the energy transition.
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, events, and consultations.
  • Preparing and delivering feasibility studies in close collaboration with our in‑house technical specialists, covering all stages of renewable energy project development.
  • Conducting site visits to perform surveys, assessments, and progress reviews.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring effective coordination with all project stakeholders.

Business Development (40% of your time spent)

Play an active role in expanding our consultancy portfolio within Indonesia and the wider region.

  • Establishing and maintaining a strong professional network with national and regional stakeholders: government authorities, private-sector companies, community groups, and industry partners.
  • Leading and contributing to the preparation of high‑quality proposals for both public and private sector clients, ensuring alignment with client needs and company strategy.

Profile

What you bring

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to the energy transition; a Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
  • Possess 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in renewable energy and the broader energy transition landscape. Experience in consultancy, project development, project management, techno‑economic assessments, and policy or regulatory studies is highly regarded. Exposure to project financing, tendering, and contracting processes is an additional asset. Proficiency with tools such as PVsyst, WindPRO, PLEXOS, ArcGIS, or similar software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of engaging and collaborating with public and private sector stakeholders, with the ability to build trusted, long-term partnerships.
  • Strong motivation and commitment to the energy transition, evidenced through career choices, academic or professional training, and personal drivers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a preference for tackling complex challenges in a multidisciplinary and international team environment.
  • Exceptional communication, research, and problem‑solving skills, applicable to both consultancy delivery and business development, supported by strong attention to detail.
  • Strong networking capabilities, with the ability to develop and maintain lasting professional relationships.
  • Proactive, self‑driven, and able to take initiative in progressing workstreams and overcoming challenges.
  • High proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong verbal, written, and reading skills. Being able to write high-quality proposals and reports in both English and Bahasa is a key requirement.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for project assignments.
