Role & Responsibility:
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operations and Maintenance Engineer based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The O&M Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting, implementing preventive maintenance, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring optimal performance of solar systems. The role will also involve close communication with the engineering team and external LOCAL suppliers to ensure the seamless operation of our solar rooftop systems.
The O&M Engineer will report to the Asset Management Leader, while collaborating with the all-team members on multiple levels. Scope of work including but not limited to:
1. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Daily monitor the performance of solar portfolio using SCADA systems, performance monitoring platforms, and other tools.
- Analyze performance data to identify underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy production and reduce downtime.
2. Manage Operation & Maintenance Activities:
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on asset performance, including energy production and billing metrics.
- Analyze operational data to provide actionable technical insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain a meticulous database of asset performance, maintenance activities, and all incident reports.
- Review O&M and service contracts, proposals, and quotes to ensure alignment with company standards and budgets.
- Manage payment process for service providers and contractors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular performance reports, including energy production, billing metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of asset performance, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Review O&M / services contracts, service quotes, and expedite payments to service providers and contractors.
4. Safety and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset performance, grid integration, and operational safety.
- Conduct periodic audits and inspections of solar PV systems.
5. Project Construction Support:
- Provide operational feedback on project designs and drawings.
- Perform quality assurance inspections during construction.
- Oversee the handover and system onboarding of new assets.
