University of Nottingham Malaysia opened in September 2000 to become the first branch campus of a British University based outside the UK - earning the distinction of the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2001 and the Queen's Award for Industry (International Trade) 2006.

In September 2005, the Malaysia Campus moved to its new purpose-built campus at Semenyih, 30km south of Kuala Lumpur city centre. Spanning a 48-hectare of tranquil rainforest and foothills, the campus is designed to mirror the attributes of University Park in the UK.

The Malaysia Campus is a diverse and vibrant community where faculty, staff and students from around the world collaborate in an environment that fosters world-class teaching and research. We confers exactly the same degrees as those in the UK and all courses are taught in English.

It combines a high-quality living environment with state-of-the-art learning, teaching and research facilities.
