Summary Of Role & Key Responsibilities

Summary of Role

Anthesis Group is seeking a sustainability consultant to join our growing Singapore office. In this role, you will complete sustainability consulting projects, helping clients develop and implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies. You will assist in the development and expansion of our Singapore business, leveraging your experience to win clients, complete and oversee complex projects, and collaborate with project teams across time zones to deliver world-class sustainability solutions in Singapore and the broader Asia Pacific region. This is a dynamic role that would best suit a sustainability practitioner with consulting experience across a broad array of relevant sustainability issues, who can also rapidly learn new skills, sectors, tools, and subject matters. Prior experience and having an interest in business development and client management will be highly advantageous.

Fluency in at least one key regional language is not a requirement for this role, but would be an advantage. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates fluent in Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Bahasa Indonesia.

The successful candidate will be part of the ESG Advisory and Mandatory Reporting business line, which provides tailored ESG due diligence, strategy development and advisory services to investors (such as private equity) and corporates. Anthesis helps clients to enhance investments, facilitate access to capital, and comply with increasing regulatory requirements. Alongside supporting the ESG Advisory team, there will be opportunities to work with the wider Anthesis teams which offer a wide range of strategy and consulting services including but not limited to human rights advisory, nature-based solutions, and carbon management.

Candidates should have proven experience working as a sustainability consultant or in a relevant sustainability role in a fast-paced environment. We are open to specialisations in ESG strategy and reporting, climate, nature-based solutions, and/or carbon. Candidates will need to be self-starters and used to operating independently. Candidates may also have exposure to supply chain and human rights related assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Complete and (depending on experience) manage complex sustainability advisory projects for a range of clients in Singapore and abroad;
  • Effectively collaborate with and engage diverse project teams and advisors across geographies and time zones to deliver high-quality sustainability solutions;
  • Deliver project tasks on time and within budget;
  • Identify and secure – or provide support in – business and consulting opportunities from new clients, writing proposals and preparing client pitches, and closing deals;
  • Lead ESG materiality assessments using double materiality methodology and facilitating board and executive-level workshops;
  • Support in establishing Anthesis as a thought leader and trusted partner for our clients;
  • Help guide growth and strategy at Anthesis in Singapore.
