Your Mission

As Project Lead, you will spearhead the implementation of Makesense Academy 9, one of Makesense's flagship incubation programs supporting social entrepreneurs and impact-driven ventures. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the program from planning to execution, while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, participant engagement, and impact.

Working closely with the Department Lead and the Director of Programs, you will coordinate with key stakeholders, support participating enterprises, and help strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Philippines. The Program Lead is responsible for day-to-day implementation, coordination, and delivery of the Academy 9 program, operating under the strategic direction of the Department Lead.

Key responsibilities

Program Leadership and Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Makesense Academy 9 incubation program.
  • Develop and manage detailed work plans, timelines, and program milestones.
  • Ensure program deliverables, targets, and outcomes are achieved on time, in full, and with quality.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, volunteers, mentors, experts, and external partners to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Prepare onboarding materials, regular progress reports and program updates for management and donors.

Enterprise Support and Ecosystem Building

  • Oversees the engagement with participating social enterprises.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for incubation
  • Manage cohort onboarding and ensure participants are set up for a strong start to the incubation
  • Facilitate access to relevant mentors, experts, investors, partners, and ecosystem actors.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, networking activities, and ecosystem-wide events.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment among participants.

Funding Compliance and Financial Management

  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, grant agreements, and reporting obligations.
  • Monitor budget utilization and ensure expenses are aligned with approved budgets.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure timely procurement, documentation, and financial reporting.
  • Identify risks and proactively recommend mitigation measures.

Impact Measurement and Learning

  • Lead the collection, tracking, and analysis of program data and impact indicators.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of program outputs, outcomes, success stories, and lessons learned.
  • Develop reports and presentations highlighting program achievements and impact.
  • Contribute insights and recommendations for future incubation and acceleration programs.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners, investors, mentors, and resource persons.
  • Represent the program in relevant ecosystem events, meetings, and partnership discussions.
  • Support fundraising and partnership-building efforts when relevant.
  • Provide regular updates and flag key decisions, risks, and escalations to the Department Lead

Your profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in program management, startup support, entrepreneurship development, innovation, or related fields.
  • Experience working with startups, MSMEs, social enterprises, incubators, accelerators, or entrepreneurship support organizations.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, Notion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Environmental Management, Economics, Business, Development Studies, or related field is a plus.
