The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will encompass the strategic implementation of sales and market initiatives, orchestrating customer success endeavors, adeptly managing grants, meticulously overseeing sector commodity operations, steering implementation projects, navigating trading activities, and pioneering the seamless deployment of cutting-edge Agri-input and producer financing solutions.

This role is open to be based in Jakarta or Bali.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning – Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
  • Sales Activities – Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies to penetrate target markets effectively.
  • Sales Activities – Lead the sales team in acquiring new clients, expanding market reach, and driving revenue growth.
  • Sales Activities – Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities and optimize sales approaches.
  • Customer Orientation - Ensure exceptional customer experiences by implementing robust customer success initiatives.
  • Customer Relationship Management - Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, addressing their needs and driving satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Grant Management – Oversee grant application processes, reporting, and monitoring to maximize funding opportunities and impact.
  • Sector Commodity Management – Develop strategies for optimizing sector commodity management, including business development activity and project implementation.
  • Project Implementation Management – Lead the successful implementation of sectors commodity projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Trading Activity – Oversee trading activities, including sourcing, pricing, and negotiation with suppliers and buyers.
  • Agri-input and Producer Financing – Oversee innovative financing solutions for Agri-inputs and producer needs.
  • Partnership Management – Establish partnerships with financial institutions and stakeholders to facilitate access to financing for farmers and producers.
  • Performance Management - Set commercial targets, monitor performance metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to the executive team on sales activities, revenue forecasts, and market trends.
  • Learning and Growth - Promote performance culture and empowerment for employees to create and groom leaders/successors from within.
  • Strategic Leadership - Develop leadership, coaching, for the Head of Markets and guiding skills to enter new markets and build the organization in line with business demands.

Profile

Requirements:

  • Graduated from a reputable university. A master's degree or MBA will be an additional advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of service in Business Development in the agriculture and technology industry and five years at the senior management level.
  • Overseas, International, or Multinational Company exposure, preferably in technology, agritech, or Software as a Service Company (SaaS).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • A professional who is also entrepreneurial, an effective communication, and has a customer-minded focus.
  • Willingness to work with hybrid arrangement (main office and home/anywhere) where the main office is located in Mampang, Jakarta, and offices in Switzerland, Indonesia (Bali, Makassar, Yogyakarta, Aceh), Vietnam, Thailand, Ivory Coast, Mexico.
