JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Junior Sustainability Consultant at Sevea in Cambodia, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to empower the agriculture & climate industry as a whole (private & public sector) in addressing climate change challenges and promoting sustainable practices. Working within our team, you will support impact-driven agricultural SMEs by assisting them in accessing finance, implementing climate-smart solutions, and developing resilient business models. Your knowledge and leadership will be instrumental in driving project success, fostering sustainable agricultural practices, and facilitating departmental growth.

1/ Act as a key consultant

  • Undertake and develop a wide range of consultancy work. The work may include contributing to studies, sector knowledge reports, participating in productive project meetings, field surveys and data collection activities, conducting training, ensuring quality reporting to the Sustainability Head of Department and playing an active role for the implementation of the project.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge and technical expertise of the company in one or several sector of your expertise

2/ Project management and Business development

  • Take part in project team, ensuring quality deliverables and assistance to clients
  • Ensure project KPIs are met (client satisfaction, timeline, project’s targets, costs)
  • Support commercial proposals writing
  • Pro-actively seek and help secure new business through ongoing client relationships and through building and maintaining professional networks

3/ Internal development

  • Contribute to the company's internal development by leading or participating in internal committees such as knowledge management, commercial development, new offers or services development, sustainability department, culture and gender management, communication and marketing, digital transformation, and collective intelligence.
Profile

ABOUT YOU

  • A Master's Degree in fields such as environmental sciences, climate change, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a focus on climate change and sustainability.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sustainability topics such as waste management, circular economy, energy efficiency, ESG and carbon services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and policies related to waste management, circular economy and climate change, particularly in South East Asia and Cambodia.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct market, sector, and policy analysis effectively in the context of sustainability and climate change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and data analysis tools

It would be a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience working for development agencies or donors such as AFD, GiZ, UNDP, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, or similar institutions
  • Experience as Sustainability Consultant, CSR Officer or equivalent, in the private sector
