The role

We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in grant management, enable effective grant-making through streamlined processes and digital solutions, and build networks that strengthen ground-up community movements.

The candidate should have experience navigating and influencing a cross-functional, matrixed organisations and the ability to communicate and present information to internal, external or senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Head, Community Networks and Partnership (CNP), the Manager, CNP, has the following responsibilities:

Grant Management

  • Manage community partner(s) who enable changemakers to tap into TF’s OSCAR grant to start their community initiatives including working with potential grant applicants in programme design and implementation
  • Support the OSCAR Grant Committee in evaluating grant proposals for community impact and sustainability
  • Monitor and evaluate OSCAR Fund’s impact
  • Co-create sustainable approaches for ground-up movement

Process Enhancement

  • Streamline the grant application and disbursement process for continuous improvement
  • Implement digital solutions to enhance grant management
  • Implement user-friendly tools for grant reporting and impact measurement
  • Develop data-driven insights to inform grant-making strategies
  • Design systems to track and showcase community success stories

Community Network Building

  • Foster networks among ground-up leaders, community partners and potential co-funders to enable networking, leadership development, learning and knowledge sharing
  • Identify and engage potential community partners to grow and amplify the impact of ground-up movement

Development of Initiatives

  • Develop internal and external community network and partnership strategies, in particular enterprise and support system building, that shape engagements, collaborations or priorities.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to support the implementation of strategies to achieve the desired outcomes and impact.
  • Generate actionable insights for internal and external stakeholder engagements and drive partnership to curate appropriate community initiatives or collaborations.

Programme Implementation/Monitoring

  • Identify potential programmes for implementation; or identify programme partners and support them with the development of programme proposals, including assessing programme viability, budget, impact, outcomes and governance.
  • Write and present board papers in support of the programme proposals for approval and implementation.
  • Monitor the implementation and progress of programmes towards agreed objectives and outcomes, and to proactively work with partners to take needed corrective actions to keep programmes on track.

Others

  • Contributing as a team member to CNP, Temasek Foundation or the Temasek Family through involvement in projects across workstreams.
  • Assist Head (CNP) on any other tasks/projects and when assigned.
Profile

Requirements

  • Degree qualification with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to utilise data, identify priorities, and develop sustainable strategies to pursue them.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, quick to process direction changes, and embrace ambiguity.
  • Clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information, identify key take-aways and derive actionable insights.
  • Possess strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Balance attention to detail with timely execution; ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, or as a team.
  • A collaborator who can work, network and partner well within diverse teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A passion for social and community causes is a plus.
