Scope of Work of the Team Member:

  • Create social media posts including GFX assets and content for for project-level deliverables and human rights program campaigns on human rights, PDL rights, legal rights education, online gender-based violence and other rights-based advocacies using provided templates and guidelines
  • Provide media-related logistical support (ensuring branding materials are prepared, set-up, etc.), event documentation and dissemination for project implementation activities under the Human Rights Program (including Legal Missions, Legal Rights Education Sessions, Networking Meetings and MOU Signings.
  • Assist in the production of campaign and event assets for online and face-to-face launch under the MULAT fellowship program
  • Perform tasks as a member of the GFX team and assist in the production of IEC materials and other visibility materials and for the human rights program and for institutional communications
  • Perform research assistant tasks including enumeration, transcription, data encoding and data cleaning for the Human Rights Communications study
  • Handle coordination of MULAT fellows and grantees to ensure production of media outputs, as well as provide necessary assistance upon request (attend shoots, etc)
  • Present and active participation in media production activities and events including but not limited to media shoots and story gathering sessions. The media officer shall assist in collecting relevant information, conducting interviews and capturing necessary visuals. (BREAD)
  • Perform other tasks and other related functions as assigned.
  • Required fieldwork in other pertinent agencies, and other local offices of IDEALS within the Philippines

Expected Deliverables:

  • Social media campaign, posts, and media production support for Human Rights Program
  • Provide logistics and implementation support for program activities, including but not limited to, trainings, meetings, surveys, storygatherings, etc
  • Coordination with fellows and grantees to ensure timely submission of media outputs
  • Implement the baseline survey within Metro Manila and ensure data cleaning and encoding
  • Join relevant fieldworks and out-of-town activities
Profile

Qualifications for this position:

  • Must be a graduate of any media and communications, arts, or social science-related courses. Preferably related to Visual Arts, Community Development, Mass Communication, Sociology, or Multimedia Arts.
  • With working knowledge on graphics design, illustration, multimedia production, or video editing. Submission of portfolio is a requirement.
  • Familiarity with sociopolitical discourse, especially Human Rights issues in the Philippines
  • Must be amenable to join frequent fieldworks within and outside Metro Manila
  • Previous experiences in a non-government or non-profit organization is desirable. If fresh graduate, then extensive extracurricular experiences or community visits are required.
